Deicide was formed in Florida 1987, in a short period of time they recorded two demos called "Feasting the beast" (1987) and Sacrificial(1989), but under that time they called themselves Amon. In 1990 the band was signed by the label Roadrunner Records, and shortly after that they recorded their debut album Deicide, one of the most extreme Death Metal albums where all the six demo tracks appear. The Death Metal freaks from U.S. was now after their debut album rather famous and in 1992 they released their second creation "Legion", its was fucking brutal and was even better than their debut album. After the release of "Legion", Deicide went out on their first tour, the media was very critical against Deicide's statements about animal sacrifices. When Deicide was playing at Fryshuset in Stockholm, Sweden a bomb exploded behind the stage and the gig was cancelled after four songs, the police suspected the Norwegian Black Metal mafia but it was vegans who was against their statements of animal sacrifices etcetera.1993 they relesed "Amon: Feasting The Beast"with their old demos on. In 1995 they released their third album "Once Upon The Cross" which is one of the most brutal Death Metal albums who has ever made. Two year after that they released their masterpiece "Serpents Of The Light". The next year they finally released their live album "When Satan Lives" Which proved what kings they really are, even live. And finally, in 2000 they released their long awaited fullenght "Insinerathehymn" exploring a different side of Deicide with a few new elements added to their evil music. The new album is slightly different compred to the previous albums, yet a monument proving that Deicide still stands alone on the throne.
