Princess Diana
Would You Have Been Proud
of Being Her Son?

The death of Princess Diana has doubtlessly supplied the
newspapers and people’s conversations and has divided mankind into
different opinions. Generally speaking, the death of a young
person shocks and surprises, in addition to the sadness it
brings. As for me, her death made me wonder if I would have
been proud or embarrassed of being her son. Well,
for the following reasons, Diana would have made me proud of her.

To begin with, I would have been proud of the beauty of
Diana and her elegance, which make her access one’s heart
more easily. Of course, the physical appearance would have been
insufficient if Diana didn’t possess a big heart, a golden
heart. Actually, she was the best ambassadress for England
anywhere she went. And consequently, every British was very
proud of his princess who changed a little bit the austere
aspect of the royal family.

Another reason for me to be proud of Diana is that golden
heart I talked about before, the complement of her physical
aspect. As a matter of fact, Diana hasn’t been called "The
Princess of Hearts" for nothing. Actually, she wanted to be her
people’s princess of hearts. And she knew very naturally what to
do to deserve that title. She knew very well how to show that
big heart she had. By holding a sick child, for instance, or by
kissing an old lady or by hugging people having AIDS, or also by
traveling very far to defend big causes, such as the
anti-personnel mines. Last but not least was the auction of her
gala dresses.

Finally, I would not have been embarrassed by her last
relationship with Al Fayed, because she was divorced, and also
because she had tried to save her marriage; when Diana first got
married, she was very much in love with Prince Charles and, above
all, she was a dreamer. So she wanted her marriage to be a
successful one. Moreover, she was a very tender mother
trying to spend as much time as possible with her children and trying to
give them what the royal family is not allowed to give: how to
show their feelings.

In conclusion, I am convinced of my opinion because Diana
was really someone good. She tried to change something and to
modernize the image of the royalty. She also tried to humanize
her actions by adding her own touch.

THE END!
