George Front Caserne. The only entry into the Fort was by means
of a fixed bridge into a central corridor. The latter being protected
by a removable bridge and sideways gun fire.

Layout :
The Railway Fortress was built between 1886 and 1890. It was first
called "Redoute du chemin de fer" and later 'Fortin
de Duffel". It's prime function was to defend the railroad
between Brussels and Antwerp.
Today, the Fortress is strictly private property.
