How to Tweak & Cheat Yours Final Fantasy VIII PC ?

1.First download the FF8 midi player & movie (FMV) player from http://home.swipnet.se/mrdata82/

2.download a trainer for FF8 PC at http://www.avault.com/cheats/displaycheat.asp?game=dl_cm-ff8tr&type=2

Run "final fantasy8 PC"(put the file in ff8 folder 1st) enter then go to save point click "Alt & Tab" then run ff8 trainer .....double click the cheat option then click the ff8 PC on the desktop toolbar to go back .(in the game)

How to config XG70 ?

some tips for "YAMAHA SoftSynthesizer S-YXG70" user

because syxg not a freeware , so u need to get a Final fantasy installer disc(inside
have a free syxg 70)

set "mutimedia" on control pannel midi output
to syxg70 & Audio"Avanced Properties"/performance
acceleration =full/sample rate conversion uality =Best
config soft XG
set cpu load 40% (50% recommended)
set "engine" XG soft
set polyphony 64~(128 recommended)
set sampling rate 44k

& remember to set the "XG synt driver " to engine=softXG not XG lite! To all non creative card user please install XG 70 driver from FF7 PC installer ,creative card user please install soundfont from FF7 PC installer

*if you download from yamaha website (that's not a freeware "Xg100" & for 60 day only (after that the program will stop runing)

I post a sample here if it not sound like PSX verstion then your sound card is "Creative" (after install sXG70)remember to set your "multimedia"under "MIDI" control pannel to "Yamaha SXG70 driver" so if you using microsoft IE browser (not support in netscape)remove the "quick time" plug-in.

Thanks to creater Dag form techd.cjb.net make a good midi device configurator Utilities for FF8 PC ,the sound quality now is 90+ % near to PSX my sound card is Diamond MX300 (use YAMAHA SoftSynthesizer S-YXG70 form FF7PC) I select Sxg 70 driver(wt the Utilities) , it's sound GREAT ....(90% tune same as PSX midi sound ) WooHOOOO. You can download this great Utilities in this page ......now You can forget that 30 MB DLS ,if you already download the "stg" file ! all u need to do just delete that file ,then reinstall FF8 (you can keep the 30MB DLS file, but this "configurator" just about 400KB & work better! :))
I susgest Creative sound card user use "soundfont" or the soundfont add on from this page

*note: after config ff8 PC midi configurator, do not run the FF8Config.exe agian & it should be under "microsoft synt" . because if the FF8Config is under Syxg synt (it will loading slow and do not match with the gaming speed)
