On March 2nd 1999, these pictures were taken of BN SD40-2 #8071 after a wreck near Lafayette, Louisiana. The locomoive hit a tanker truck loaded with salt water. The locomotive was lightly damaged. Only the left side of the pilot, the handrails, the steps, and the brake cylendars were damaged.
