| 8169 | 8169 was at Finch station on this April 28 1999 photo. 8169 was rebuilt and became 2155 a few months later. The font style of the fleet # on the front was widely used in the mid-1980's. |
| 8299 | 8299,8295,8296 were retired and parked at Birchmount storage yard since 1994, all 3 have returned to active service after receiving the rebuild in 1998. |
| 8368 | 8368 was seen at Finch in summer 1996. In 1988, 8365 and 8368 became the last 2 buses with maroon and cream livery in the 8270-8369 series, they were repainted soon and 8365-69 stayed at Hillcrest division. 8366-69 later moved to Landsdowne in 1992 before reallocating to Arrow Road as Landsdowne was closed down. At the age of 18, 8368 was rebuilt. the bus now becomes 2025 and is Birchmount-based . |
| 8520 | The style of livery on 8520 (BF1495) suggested that the bus was repainted in the late 1980's or 1990's. 8520 was a Birchmount-based bus when the bus was seen at Kennedy station in Sept 1997. 8520 was reallocated to Malvern in early 1998 just a few months before receiving the major body rebuild. |
| 8615/7077 | GM 8615 suffered from mechanical problem and all the passengers were transferred to Orion 7077. The photo was taken on Apr 21 1999 on Sheppard just west of Leslie. 8615 was later rebuilt and has returned to active service in August with the original BC7312 license # retained. |
| 8628 | After finishing the morning 39E services (Run 35 on Finch East), 8628 replaced the Orion 3 buses for the midday RT shuttle service, 8628 continued her 39E duties in the afternoon rush hour on Jan 13 1999. This tight arrangement was due to the big demand for shuttle buses and all RT shuttle service used Malvern buses only during the series of snowstorms in Jan 1999. 2736 ex.8628 was seen with wrap ad on May 27 2010. 2736 was retired in July 2010 at the age of 28.52 years and ranked #5 so far just behind 8058, 2151, 2153 and 2839 in terms of durability. |
| 8640 | The series of snowstorms caused the TTC to shut down subway service between Eglinton and Bloor station, shuttle buses were heavily used on the first day (Jan 13 99) and people tried to get in 8640 to downtown. A rare and unusual sight of PCC streetcar 4500 which also got stuck because of heavy snow in an unknown place on Jan 15 1999. (Both photos from Singtao Daily) |
| 8656/8661 | A contrast in the different style of paintings can be observed here, 8656 was still in the original 1982 style livery and the original small size fleet #. 8661 was repainted into the 1990 style livery after the first 6 year overhaul, however, the small size style fleet # was also retained. The photo was taken in mid-Sept. |
| 8853 | 8853 received new unrepainted body panels in the summer of 2002 shortly after the bus was reallocated to Malvern. |
| 8888 | GM bus 8888 was seen at Arrow Road yard in July 2000, 8888 was renumbered to 2388 in April 2002 and 2388 was retired in December 2008 at the age of 25 years and 11 months. |
| 2024/8653 | 2 unidentified 1981 and 82 GM, possibly 2024 and 8653, have just received new livery painting job. The photo was taken on April 7 1998. |
| 2700 | After receiving the 18 year mechanical rebuild, 8636 returned to service and became 2700 on May 31 99. 8636 received body rebuild in late 1997 but no 18 year mechanical work was done then. Her former number can still be seen on the back bumper. The relatively rare original 1981 license plate # BC 7331 is still being used by seeing this front door side photo. Here is another closer front view on 2700 |
| 2065/2076 | Recently rebuilt 2065 and 2076 were seen in summer of 2000, the rebuild brought 2065 back to active service for exactly 6 years from Feb 1999 to Feb 2005 and 2076 for 5 years 2 months from June 1999 to Aug 2004. |
| Oak 8237 | New York City Transit bus stop, an Oakville GM 8237 displaying an Oakville route 30 Crosstown with New York license plate, but the streetcar overhead wires, tracks and TTC 8530 on streetcar route 502 indicated the scene is not Oakville nor New York city but downtown Toronto. Here is a close up of OT 8237 with NY license plate and the New York City Transit logo on the door side that were set up for movie purposes on Sept 16 1999. However, the bus still carried the Oakville Transit logo on the driver side and her original Ontario license BA5401 at the back. This is another OT 8237 photo taken in April 1999 in Oakville by Felix Tse. |
| 8282/8713 | Based on the different painting schemes, we can roughly tell that 8282 and 8713 were repainted once some time in the late 1980s and early 1990s respectively. 8282 was in maroon and cream livery and 8713 had the livery similar to 8656 from here when they began service in 1980 and 1982. 8713 was withdrawn in 1991, 8282 was retired in 1994 and both "out of service" buses were seen deep in Birchmount storage yard from this 1996 photo. 8713 returned to active service in 1997 after 6 years of storage. 8713 now becomes 2738 and 8282 becomes 2058, both of them are also in Class A conditions now. |
| 8362/8382 | From right to left are 8362, 8382 and 8345, all these 3 buses were retired from Danforth garage in late 1996 or early 1997. 8362 was lucky to go to the rebuild program and became 2052 in Nov 1998 while the unfortunate 8382 was sold for scrap. |
| MT 2109 2109 - 2 |
Former Mississauga Transit GM 2109 were purchased and the bus received new license # BK 2001 in early 2000, the MT logo and the fleet numbers were removed but the MT livery still exists. |
| HSR 8206 | HSR GM artics 8206 is 15 years older than the Nova Low Floor buses in behind and all these buses are having the weekend off on May 20 2000. This is the rear view of 8206 with an ad covering the rear window. |
