Future Research

 

Due to difficulties encountered in locating the second Tg point in the blends by DSC, Differential Mechanical Analysis (DMA) should be used to study the level of homogeneity in a blend system that's formed with the help of a bifunctional linker. In addition, optical micrographs show that the conductive networks were formed and homogeneity increases after the blend has been heated and then cooled. Therefore, further research should be performed to study the effects various heating rates have on the blend's conductivity. In addition, thicker solvent-cast films should be prepared for x-ray diffraction spectroscopy for calculating the percentage of crystallinity the blends.

 

Evidence of the success of the creation of the polyblend system will allow the PANi/PCL blend system to be used in its various applications. It is hoped that I would be able to continue my research in the actual applications of this system.
