Howlingwind Kennels are a small breeding kennel, aiming at producing quality dogs. Above all, our main aim is to produce Akitas of beautiful temperament, type and quality and in doing this we have selected the finest stock to start with.
GENERAL APPEARANCE
Large, powerful, alert, with much substance and heavy bone.

Kobii is a magnificent brindle and white bitch. Just nearing two years old, she has the most wonderful temperament and has certainly made her mark in the Australian showring. She lives and plays at home with a housefull of Lowchens and Chinese Cresteds and is seen by the show ring, always standing guard to protect her two and four legged family.

"Flash" is our new baby. We recently imported Flash into Australia from New Zealand. He is from the most sort after lines from around the world. His father - NZ Ch. Melador Dancin Brave at Redwitch (Imp UK) and his mother Regalias One-Sided Affair (Imp USA) both having been imported into New Zealand by Margaret Hippolite of Kodo Kennels. Flash is also the grandson of Ch Nor. Ch. Redwitch Dancin' In The Dark, who was Runner Up Best In Show at Crufts Dog Show 1999. The combination of these two imported dogs has been put together to produce the best possible Akita, and we are truly priviledged to own Flash.
