December 3. 1933: Radio Luxembourg started transmissions in English from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The listeners loved its style, programmes and formats. December 30. 1992: The station closed down after more than 59 years on the air. The memories have lived on... But now: September 12. 2005: The
English service of Radio Luxembourg relaunched with test transmissions
on digital AM and on
the web - www.radioluxembourg.co.uk. December 2006: Radio
Luxembourg starts full-service programming.
RTL has
reduced airtime on DRM Benny Brown from the old days. Benny is also one of the presenters on Radio Luxembourg today.
