They don't go together. Or do they? The government recently won their lawsuit against the tobacco companies. Now Clinton has decided to give the court-awarded money to day care. What about the injured, damaged smoker that was the cause of this whole situation? Why not establish programs to help smokers quit (everyone should appreciate less 2nd hand smoke) or for medical care for smokers who cannot afford it? Email your Congressman & State Representatives and express your opinion! My personal worst site award goes to "Bambii Killers". I can't believe anyone would even remotely think the subject of killing cows, deer & rabbits is funny. He calls it a parody, I call it disgusting.
Warning: Don't buy a scanner made by this company. It is not Twain compatible & will not work without a program called EZScan, which is included with it. The problem is: the program is a demo only- after 50 scans the program destroys itself. Then you're stuck with a $200 scanner that is totally useless. The only solution to this is to order the registered version of EZScan for about $70. What a ripoff!! I went to their website trying to get some answers, but no one there would respond. I did take a look at their guestbook - there were many other letters like mine.
Aka, Computer Discount Warehouse. You've probably seen their ads in computer magazines; Microsoft even recommends them. If you live in a rural area, you will find out that they are the most difficult people you'll ever have the displeasure of dealing with. It took 3 weeks to get a program from them that should have arrived in 2 days. I won't bore you with all the problems I had - this is my main point ( and big bitch): 1) If you want to use your credit card the address you give them must be the same as the one listed with telephone information or they won't accept it. Around here almost everyone is listed in the phone directory as a direction from town (East, North, etc). Just because we live in the country doesn't mean we can't receive mail or that we're dishonest people trying to rip off the mail order companies. 2) Warning: they want you to fax them a copy of your credit card, front & back, and a copy of your driver's license. Don't do it!! It is not safe to give copies of that kind of information to anyone, and no one should ask you to.
