"Not light reading but well worth the effort. Look at development of the schism between right and left brain using historical context.   The fall of myth and oracle, externalization of the "voice" into codified "laws".  Interesting look at the Odyssey and several versions of it over time and changes that reflect loss of mythos and the gods.  Look at schizophrenia, the public centralization of religion in cities and its impact on society.  So many ideas too numerous to mention.
