Welcome to my front yard. We live in Clarksburg, Maryland. That is about 35 miles - by
crow - from the White House in Washington, D.C. We moved in here 24 years ago, just
after they finished building the house. Our neighborhood, about 75 homes, was build on an
old farm when the farmer decided to quite farming. We have a Maryland State park in
front of us and a Federal Park is at our backs - - this makes for a very quiet area. We are
the highest landfall after Sugarloaf Mountain - about 15 miles away. This also gives us a
very nice view.
We have a very large population of various types of police officers living among us. We
sometimes call ourselves a ‘Police Ghetto’. Only thing I would change - have the driveway
flat during the winter....... it is steep.
