POET'S CHALLENGE

To be a sonneteer is amusing,
Both easier and harder than it looks.
As poetry goes, often confusing;
I yet hope to publish poetry books.
But I often got requests so shady,
To write acrostics or ladies' sonnets,
To write for this noble or that lady,
To write of swords or horses or bonnets.
But surprisingly, I meet every task;
Laurie's sonnet is soon, Thomas received
The acrostics which of me he did ask.
But one did ask what I couldn't conceive.
I must admit I can't meet this challenge,
To find in English a rhyme for orange.
