  • H.M.S. Hood 1893 A beautiful scratch built model of the 1893 pre-dreadnought, H.M.S. Hood (Not the one sunk by the Bismark) by JD Gray in 1:1200 scale. JD does a such fantastic job with these models that they put the rest of us to shame. More pictures of his French pre-dreadnoughts are below. He says it takes about a year to construct each one. The following picture is a drawing he did of the 1887 French Pre-Dreadnought "Jaureguiberry". The model he did of this same ship follows.

    View from Hill

A view from the hills above Doofusberg from the Prussian side. For more info on Volley & Bayonet, go to the Links page and select "Volley & Bayonet". In this game infantry are mounted on 3" wide by 1.5 " deep regimental stands. The cavalry are on 3" by 3" "Brigade" Stands. In each case the number of groups on the stand is the strength of the stand.(e.g the Prussians in the foreground represent two battalions each of about 500 men)
