For some religions of the world, Easter tells the story
of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the grave, after his undignified death.
Here, I want to relay a different annotation of the meaning of Easter.
It is not my intent to bring misconceptions from my thoughts, just
to make one think and not forget
the meaning of the religious aspect of the holiday.
I was raised to young adulthood with a very religious mother.
I do not preach my religion to anyone, nor do I appreciate anyone preaching to me if I don't want it! I respect all beliefs of all people and their religions. I raised two children without any concept of sermons,
only to them I gave guidance when questions were asked of me,
letting them come to their own educated conclusions and beliefs,
never forcing them with my beliefs,
wanting them to reach their own healthy concept.
For all religious holidays,
I feel there is too much commercialization. But, then again, I am guilty of such.
I decorate my home, sometimes elaborately! I buy cards for sending to family members.
I have eliminated costly gifts tho. I believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny.
In our home, happiness & health is priority anymore...
I remember words on the basis of this: You can believe, but there's no need for structures(buildings i.e., churches, etc.) to believe.

St. Luke 23:24-25-27
And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required
....he delivered Jesus to their will
....there followed him a great company of people, bewailed and lamented him

He took his body down and wrapped him in linen
placed Jesus in a stone cave, it was the Sabbath day
Returning the next day, the people found the sepulchre empty

And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them
and carried up into heaven
