| HL0Y is the call sign of the club called YARRA(Yonsei Amateur Radio
Research Association)
in YONSEI university. HL0Y, so to speak, YARRA was established in
1978,Sep. 7 by the first president Song Jae Hoon and other seniors'
endless effort. Under the strong willingness to make the superl club ever, made in YONSEI university, Song Jae Hoon Senior tried his best since 1977 summer. Even though there were many difficulties like permission for establishing YARRA from the school department shortage in knowledge about HAM, he didn't give up his hope. |

| Meaning In Suffix of HL0Y | |||||||||
| The president Song Jae Hoon also stated the chancellor's name as the
establisher's name at the time of establishment unlikely to other club
stations in Korea. It mede YARRA become much more close to cshool, and the suffix of Y and establisged radio station as HM0Y using 'Y', the first letter of Yonsei university as the suffix of call sign by the help of school. |

| In 1981, October, the rig called Hentron(for mono band) was changed to
FT-101B and in March 1984, YARRA bought R-390A(all band receiver), and
started doing BCL that other station could not even think of doing it. And in May 1984, YARRA set up the tower and YAGI antenna on the roof rather than old Dipole antenna. In the year 1991, YARRA increased TR-7700 of 144MHz machine and set up Rotator. In the year 1987, the rig was changed to FT-901DM and in the year of 1991, the 144MHz rig was changed to YM-231A. As the result of there efforts and developments, YARRA received many awards like DXCC award, and let the whole world know about HL0Y. Other than that, YARRA had many technology services and managed Fox-hunting. Also YARRA had BCL YONKO festival, 0YONKO festival(Athleting meeting) and relay of marathon in YONKO festival with well intentioned rival, HL0T. |
