I have tried very hard to substantiate the following information, however, being human (despite what some of my relatives say) I am not infallible so if you find a mistake please inform by e-mail below.
If you are researching these lines and feel that we could help each other please contact me

I do not and will not sell this information but I would appreciate your giving me credit for the research, time and effort that I have put into this project just as I give credit to these
people who have helped me:
JoAnn Smith - A long lost distant cousin.  JoAnn found me.
Linda Bond who is JoAnn's sister
Lisa Sumner Price who is Linda's daughter and all three are researching the Mercer Family
Billie Jones - A retired school teacher and one of the nicest ladies I met while doing
this research . She also gave me several pointers to help in my research.
Billie is researching the Inglett Family

If you have information that may help
these people I will put them in touch with you.

With-out the help of these ladies this task would have been so much harder,

Thanks Ladies!

In doing this research I have learned some things I
wanted to know and some things that I didn't want to know.
But then, Such is life.

I am always looking for new information about any and all individuals in this file so if you have something that you think I can use please contact me about it.

The Information contained in these files came from The Family Bible, The Richmond County Probates Office, Richmond County Bureau of Vital Statistics. The Westview Cemetery, Gracewood Cemetery, and several Cemeteries located on the Fort Gordon, Georgia US Army Reservation and The Aiken County South Carolina Bureau of Vital Statistics, as well as  The United States Federal Census and living relatives.

Fort Gordon is located near the city of Augusta, Georgia and occupies a large
area of Richmond County and smaller portions of McDuffie, Jefferson
and Columbia Counties. The land was purchased by the military in 1940;  this area was evidently settled after the Revolutionary War and before 1830.
Because this is a Military Base and some of the cemeteries are
located in shell impact areas and the on going military exercises being
conducted, anyone who would like to visit any cemetery needs to
contact the Environmental and Natural Resources Management Office
at Fort Gordon, Georgia. a survey done by the DFE Forestry Section in October
1982, was used as a reference guide during this survey.
