BAPTISM - Make an appointment at least one month ahead of time. Parents of the child will have a personal interview with the chaplain. Show the birth certificate of your child. Preferably sponsors should be practising Catholics.
FIRST COMMUNION - Let your child join the parish First Communion programme whenever possible. Parishes have usually very good and inspiring programmes. Your child needs to have good memories of his/her 1st Communion. The Chaplaincy can help you get in touch with the parish priest if you need help. RECONCILIATION (CONFESSIONS) - Confessions for adults are held 30 minutes before the Mass begins in the church where the Sunday Mass is held. Otherwise, make an in your parish, or with your Chaplain or in St. Stephen's Cathedral (City) where confessions are held regularly
ANOINTING OF THE SICK - When one checks in the hospital, already call on or inform the hospital Chaplain. Long before your sickness becomes serious, call on the Filipino Chaplains. Don't wait until one is dying or unconscious, because that would be too late. Don't expect sacrament to do magic, because it doesn't. The sacrament needs the sick person's conscious and willing cooperation to have its full effect.
WEDDINGS- Notify your intended priest-celebrant or chaplain at least 6 months before the wedding. Contact the parish priest to book the church you plan to get married in. There are a number of documents required, such as: birth certificate, recent baptismal certificate, and other legal documents. The couple will be advised to attend a seminar on marriage. All these require time. So don't fix the date of your wedding until you have cleared it out with all parties concerned.
BLESSINGS (by appointment) Funerals, Blessings of a house, car, shop, and other blessings, Enthronements: Bible, Sacred Heart, or Christ the King.
FORMATION - Seminar on the Bible, adult catechism or seminar
