Italian Vegetable Dip

1 cup sour cream
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Zest Italian Salad Dressing Mix
¼ cup each finely chopped green and red peppers
Keep the ingredients for this easy-fixing, boldly flavored dip on hand for impromptu get-togethers.

Mix sour cream, mayo and salad dressing mix.

Stir in green and red peppers. Refrigerate

Serve with assorted cut-up vegetables, boiled potatoes, breadsticks or chips.

Hot Bacon Cheese Spread

1 loaf (16 ounces) round bread
12 slices Center Cut Bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
1 package (8 ounces) KRAFT Shredded Colby/Monterey Jack Cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
Your guests will love the way this cream dip is served in a hollowed-out loaf of bread. You can reheat the dip, bread bowl and all, in your microwave oven.

Cut lengthwise slice from top of bread loaf, remove center, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite-size pieces; set aside.

Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl. Spoon into hollowed bread shell. Cover shell with top of bread; place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve with bread pieces or crackers.

Makes 3½ cups.

Note: To reheat, microwave filled bread shell with top on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring once.

 

 

Bologna Pumpkin Head

For an outdoor party, don't forget to have an old-fashioned, three-legged race. For each team, tie two people's legs together with a scarf (or use a gunny sack). Then, start the race. The winning team gets to eat this sandwich first.

Place bologna slice on tortilla. Create a "face" using cheese, mustard and catsup.

 

 

2-Step Taco Dip

1 container (16 ounces) sour cream
1 package (1¼ ounces) Taco Seasoning Mix
1 cup each shredded lettuce and chopped tomato
1 cup KRAFT Mexican Style Shredded Cheese

south-of -the-border party snack.

1. PREP IT QUICK: Mix sour cream and seasoning mix until well blended. Spread on bottom of 9-inch pie plate or quiche dish.

2. PILE ON THE FUN! Layer remaining ingredients over sour cream mixture. Garnish with green pepper cut-outs, sliced pitted ripe olives, small halved tomato slice and fresh chives to create a "cat's face." Serve with tortilla chips.

Southwest Ranch Cheeseburgers

1 pound ground beef
8 KRAFT Deluxe American Cheese slices
4 Kaiser rolls, split, toasted
¼ cup Ranch Dressing
8 slices bacon, crisply cooked
Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
Serve these thick, juicy burgers with chips, pickles and fresh fruit for an easy supper anytime.

Shape meat into 4 patties.

Cook patties in skillet on medium heat 4 to 6 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.

Top each patty with 2 slices of cheese; cover. Continue cooking until cheese is melted. Fill rolls with cheeseburgers; top with dressing and bacon. Serve with salsa.

Makes 4 sandwiches.

Grilling directions: Grill patties over hot coals 8 to 12 minutes or to desired doneness. Continue as directed.

BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers

1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons Barbecue Sauce
8 KRAFT Deluxe American Cheese slices
4 Kaiser rolls or hamburger rolls, split, toasted
Lettuce
4  slices bacon, crisply cooked
Tomato slices (optional)

Toasting the rolls makes these great sandwiches even better. Place the roll halves, cut sides down, on the grill rack. Grill about 1 minute or until lightly toasted.

Mix meat and barbecue sauce. Shape into 4 patties.

Place patties on grill over hot coals. Grill 8 to 12 minutes or to desired doneness, brushing occasionally with additional barbecue sauce.

Top each patty with 2 slices of cheese. Continue grilling until cheese is melted. Fill rolls with lettuce, cheeseburgers, bacon and tomato.

Halloween Coffee Cupcakes

1 package (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
Chilled freshly brewed double-strength Coffee, any variety
Coffee Pudding Frosting

Let the little helpers at your house frost these sweet treats.

Prepare cake mix as directed on package, substitution coffee for water. Spoon into paper-lined muffin pan, filling each cup ½ full.

Bake as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool. Frost with Coffee Pudding Frosting. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles and candy coffee beans. if desired

½ cup chilled freshly brewed double-strength coffee, any variety
½ cup cold milk
1 package (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla or Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 tub (8 ounces) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
The subtle coffee flavor of this luscious frosting complements the Halloween Coffee Cupcakes or any chocolate or yellow cake. Be sure to store the frosted cake in the refrigerator.

Pour coffee and milk into medium bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with with wire whisk 1 minute. Immediately stir in whipped topping. Spread on cupcakes.

Witch's Web

2 packages (12.6 ounces each) JELL-O No Bake Cookies & Creme Dessert
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 2/3 cups cold milk
Dress this creamy dessert in Halloween style by using decorating icing to create a spiderweb. Make the spider by inserting licorice "legs" into a huge gumdrop and adding tiny red candies for eyes.

Stir Crust Mix and butter thoroughly with spoon in 13.9-inch pan until crumbs are well moistened. Press firmly onto bottom of pan.

Pour cold milk into deep, narrow-bottom bowl. Add Filling Mix. Beat with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Do not underbeat. Stir Crushed Cookies into filling until well blended. Spread filling mixture over crust. Garnish with decorating icing and candies to create "spiderweb" and "spider."

Refrigerate at least 1 hour until set. To server, dip bottom of pan in hot water for 30 seconds for easier cutting and serving. Store leftover dessert, covered, in refrigerator.

Spooky Ghost Cups

2 cups cold milk
2 packages (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla  Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
 8 (7-ounce) clear plastic cups or glasses
Need a kid-friendly centerpiece for an outdoor party? Start with a pumpkin and about 2 pounds of large gumdrops. Stick one end of a toothpick into each gumdrop and poke the toothpicks into the pumpkin. Your pumpkin will look like one giant gumdrop.

Pour cold milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Gently stir in whipped topping.

Spoon mixture into large zipper-style plastic bag. Close bag tightly. Snip ½-inch piece off one corner of bag. Holding top of bag tightly, squeeze mixture into small plastic cups to resemble ghosts. Create a "face" with decorating icing and candies.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

3-Step Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

2 packages (8 ounces each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
½ cup canned pumpkin
½ teaspoon  ground cinnamon
Dash each ground cloves and nutmeg
1 ready-to-use graham cracker crumb crust (6 ounces or 9 inches)
Make gumdrop cutouts for a colorful garnish on this luscious cheesecake. To do so, roll out a large gumdrop on a sugared surface. Then, cut out fancy shapes using small cookie cutters.

1. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix until blended. Remove 1 cup batter; stir in pumpkin and spices.

2. Pour remaining plain batter into crust. Top with pumpkin batter.

3. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool. refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Garnish with thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and gumdrop cut-outs.

Goblin Goo Drink

1 package (8-serving size) or 2 packages (4-serving size each) JELL-O Grape or Orange Flavor Gelatin Dessert
4 cups (1 quart) cold prepared KOOL-AID Grape or Orange Flavor Soft Drink Mix
Boil, bubble, toil and trouble! Create your own witch's cauldron by serving this kid-pleasing punch from a deep, black pot or kettle.

Prepare gelatin as directed on package.

Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

Break gelatin into small flakes with fork. Spoon about ½ cup gelatin into each of 8 tall glasses. Pour ½ cup cold soft drink over gelatin in each glass. Serve immediately with a straw to sip gelatin pieces and soft drink.

Makes 8 Servings.

Two Color Goo: Prepare grape and orange flavor gelatin as directed on package. Refrigerate and break into flakes as directed. Layer ¼ cup orange (or grape) gelatin flakes, ¼ cup grape (or orange) gelatin flakes and additional ¼ cup orange (or grape) gelatin flakes in each glass. Pour cold orange soft drink over gelatin in each glass.

Fizzy Goblin Goo: Just before serving, prepare KOOL-AID as directed substituting cold seltzer for water.
