Beavis and Butt-head are two testerone-infused teenagers obsessed with
their unfulfilled desire to score with 'chicks'. With 'Beavis & Butt-head
Do America' (BABDA), the duo go out of their living room to across America.
 |
|
The journey begins when their TV is stolen. Beavis & Butt-head,
while looking for it, meet a sleazy redneck named Muddy who pays them $10,000
to fly to Las Vegas to 'do' his ex-wife, Dallas. With a slight misunderstanding
of the word 'do', the guys find themselves leaving for Las Vegas! However,
in Vegas, things don't go exactly as planned, and they begin a cross-country
trek with the thug, the ex-wife, two ATF Agents and a bunch of senior citizen
tourists, dealing with viral weapon, SWAT teams and the works. Sounds messy?
See it to believe it. |

(After Beavis was caught pleasing himself by himself in the trailer).

be doing the slots (slot machines)". Beavis: "Yeah, yeah. I'm hoping to
do some sluts too".
5. Butt-head: "Did I just score?" (After a cavity search i.e.
an anal search by a female FBI agent).

'Do'. A small word with plenty connotations which result in much confusion
to Beavis & Butt-head. Misunderstanding 'do' (killing) for 'do' (having
sex), the scatterbrains get more than they asked for. While the Beavis
And Butt-head TV series may be a hot item in US, their transition to the
big screen leaves more to be expected. |
Beavis And Butt-head Do America (BABDA) is somewhat a poorer make of the
Simpsons. This one lacks the finesse in both animation as well as humour.
Throw in a little of The Three Stooges, The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo,
a bit of Charlie's Angels etc, is what BABDA is all about.
The humour tool here is the stupidity of Beavis (the Geek) and Butt-head
(the Nerd), whose imbecellic actions are truly beyond me. Even the mentally
challenged exhibit more learning ability than these two.
 |
|
But this is what's supposed to be funny. Stupid and silly things they
do that result in catastrophes and crisis hoists them to overnight notoriety
when they get involved in arms deals, murder and national security. What
makes the situation more funny is their oblivion to the instant fame.
However, the key humour is their lines which causes much misunderstanding. |
While BABDA offers some good laughs, it has its equal share of irritating,
disgusting non-amusement.

1. B and B, although idiots are smart
with their puns and play of words. Go figure if this is intended or purely
coincidental.
2. The FBI agent's preoccupation with
cavity search ordered on each suspect.
3. The cute accented voice of Cornholio,
the alter ego of Beavis when he has an overdose of pills. Cornholio's incessant
: "I am Cornholio. I want T.P for my bunghole", seems funny although it
doesn't make much sense. |
4. B and B's obsession to get laid with their
'any-chick-(yes, even nuns)will-do syndrome, and their oblivion to the
danger and mess they've caused is pathetically funny.
5. The animation of body parts is cute,
