Those Wacky Fifteen Characters!
Ah yes...what would Fifteen have been without its SUPER ZANY actors.
Here, with mug shot, are some of the characters that made Fifteen the hit
it was:
Brooke
What a sexy dame. Brooke was the resident bitch for the first
couple of seasons, doing everything she could to ruin everyone's life...by
the end of the second year, people had finally given up on her, just in
time for her to head off to Paris at the end of the third year. C'est
la vie.
Courtney
Court is shown here wearing the outfit Dylan said she looked "HOT" in...otherwise,
Courtney was the resident fashion disaster. Somewhat naive at points,
Courtney fell for Dylan and, in a platonic way, for Brooke, obviously two
TERRIBLE influences. Scores points for being a big sis for Billy
when their parents broke up (sniff!)
Matt
Matt had trouble with the coach, with drinking, keeping his girlfriend...sigh,
hard luck for the show's resident "prep" (that's a stretch). But
didn't he just look dreamy in that Hillside letter jacket (hehehehe)...
Kelly
Here we have Kelly giving her ulitmate "There'll be revenge!" look.
Kelly was full of evil, but was topped by Brooke in the bitch department.
She only made it one season with us (sigh), but she was truly one of the
better actors on the show.
Billy
This is Billy's snot-running-down-my-nose-because-my-parents-broke-up look.
A real whiner in seasons one and two, Billy somehow became a tough bully-like
guy by season three to compensate for his homosexual tendencies, er, family
breakup.
Ashley
Ashley had those "down home" good looks, and was sooooo nice to Matt--until
she broke up with him for Chris in season two. She stayed with Fifteen
for the whole run, hopping from boyfriend to boyfriend like so much used
trailer park trash.
Theresa
Theresa happens to be my personal favorite, just because her character
was so ditzy you HAD to love her! She fell in love with Dylan, exposed
Brooke on occassion, and left for "a school for the arts" after the first
season.
Olaf
Poor Olaf...always ostracized, never loved, had his geography homework
stolen...he came from Finland and went back in just a year, but what a
profound effect on our life he had in the mean time ("I seem to have dislocated
myself").
Jake
Our token Asian character was a lowly sap in season one, abroad in season
two, and Courtney's main "squeeze" (and Matt's punching bag!) in season
three. He's always the one the girls counted on for advice...yawn...
Dylan
What a rocker. What a stud. One of the few characters that
made it from episode one to episode sixty-five, Dylan transformed from
the bad guy that all the women wanted, to a rocker, to Ashley's (and Arseman's?)
boyfriend, to drop out.
Cindy
Our environmentally-conscious friend had a relatively limited role in
season one, her only season. She did convince Dylan to apologize
to Billy and Courtney, and she was basically Olaf's only friend.
Actually one of the better actors on the series.
Chris
Another rocker wanna-be, Chris is the kidna guy you definitely wouldn't
want to bring home to your parents, at least by Nickelodeon standards.
A jerk in seasons two and three, he become a complete softy during Russ'
leukemia scare.
Janice
I'm pretty sure that Janice's career at Nick stared on You Can't Do
That on Television...but she's no Alannis Morissette. Janice is wholly
unliked for most of her second-season stay, culminating in being accused
as the thief of Courtney's necklace.
Erin
Not really a force to be reckoned with in either season two or three.
Matt's young sister is there, however, to help him through his drinking
problem, and her lamentations as the "new girl on the block" in season
two provide a lot of good yawns.
Amanda
Here we see Amanda bitching out her sister Brooke during the early stages
of season two. Hardly the actress that Theresa was, Amanda will be
best remembered for her klepto tendencies manifested by her needs for attention...sigh...
