Chetniks and American Airmen commemorate the 54th Anniversary of Ravna Gora and the 50th Anniversary of V-E Day on the mountain top at Ravna Gora on May 13, 1995. Standing behind the man with the long stick is Capt. Nick Lalich and holding the flag is Major Richard Felman. To the left of Nick Lalich is Vojislav Mihailovich, the grandson of General Draza Mihailovich.

Part of the crowd of 50,000 people who trudged up the mountain at Ravna Gora to commemorate the 54th Anniversary of the Day General Mihailovich at this spot proclaimed his resistance to the German invaders of his country. This event was especially significant as it also marked the 50th Anniversary of V-E Day and the return of the American Airmen.

A new generation of Chetniks at Ravna Gora.

A tearful first meeting between Richard Felman and Misha Stefanovich from Cacak, the son of the Chetnik corporal who saved his life over 50 years ago. After the war, the Communists killed Stefanovich’s father for allegedly turning Felman over to the Germans.
