1st
- click on an empty spot on the screen.
-at the top click File....New Folder
-name the folder by typing in YournamePage (Ex. Romboughpage)
-do the same for your partner
2nd
- now insert your disk
- double click on your disk to open it
- drag everything that looks like yours into your folder,
and everything you're not sure of too.
- when you are sure that everything is in the folder on the
desktop, put everything in your diskette into the trash and empty the trash.
3rd
- double click on the file in your new folder called
groupNamepoems (ex. pisaYkemapoems)
- when it opens in Netscape, then press File .... Edit page.
This will open the page into the Composer program.
- start typing your poem in the appropriate box.
- you can also access this file by typing the file after
our web address.
Ex. http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/gregory/302/pisaYkemapoems.htm
in the location space in the Netscape Navigator.
4th
- save your work by pressing File...Save as
- click desktop
- double click and open your Folder.
- click save.
last
- at the end of the class, you will drag your whole folder into
the diskette and let it recopy everything.
- you will also drag this folder into your own disk if you have
one.
- you will also drag this folder into the hard drive for safe keeping.
If you finish all the typing you can do.
1. Work on your symbol poem for tomorrow.
2. Search the net using our class links for more ideas about
your "country" of travel.
3. Search the net for pictures you can use for symbols for
your traveller or yourself.
(to save a picture: hold down the mouse on the image,
click save as, save it in your folder)
