Lesson:
Class on "The Truman Show" for April 12th
To introduce the idea of a "greater narrative", subtexts, poetic moments, and the postmodern novel as a pastiche or collage, we divide into groups to "find" certain elements and certain levels of narrative.  This is an exercise which is appropriate to the year's goal of producing a mulit-genre novel (The F.I.E.), and also one that is intended to bridge the gap between short and long fiction.   (Hey, it is also a break they have earned!)
