Basic Differences between Navigator Browser and Composer:

Netscape's Navigator Browser:

Used to see pages in .html language, and pictures in .jpg and .gif formats. 
Buttons like "Back",  "Forward",  "Bookmark". 

Functions: 
File.....Open...  New Navigator Window.  (to get a window open to view the net)
Bookmark flag... Add Bookmark  (to keep a link to a favourite site)
File.... Save  (to save only the text)
Click on an image.....Save Image As  (to save the image)
Note:
File...Edit Page
(Reopens the internet document in the Composer Program, leaving original Navigator window open behind

Composer

Used to edit or change internet pages. 
Buttons like Cut, Copy, Paste, Font Size, Bold, Alignment, Insertions.
Word Processing Functions:
1.   File.... New.... Blank Page  (to open a new document into the composer program)
2.   File.... Open...Page in Composer (to reopen an old document)
3.   File... Save (this saves the page,  the formating, all the pictures, and the background picture into the same folder)
Format......functions
4.   Highlight text and A (makes text bold)
5.   Highlight text and 24 (Changes font size to 24)
6.   Highlight text and image.   Then    Edit...Copy (Places it all on the clip board to be pasted in elsewhere)
7.   Highlight text and spelling (Checks document spelling)
8.   Highlight text and align centre  (moves text to centre) 
(for images, click and centre spot just next to the picture)
9.   Format.....Page Properties (allows you to change the page and text colour, or add a background)
10.   Format ...... Image Properties (allows you to change the image, but not file size of image)

11.   Highlight text or image....Insert...Link (allows you to link to another web site address)
12.   Cursor at a spot.     Then    Insert.....Image (allows you to insert an image file at that spot)
13.   Insert.... Target (inserts a target which another text or image can be linked to)
14.   Insert.... Table (inserts a box or table)
