Scene Description:
-
In a box like the one below, describe the scene using adjective,
similes, and descriptions of the organization of objects, people, and dinosaurs!
The description must be detailed enough for a producer to follow, and evocative
enough such that the reader could imagine the scene. A well written 150
words plus is expected. A stage layout (the room from above) could be included
in another box at bottom.
Character List:
-
In bold the character names are listed vertically.
-
In brackets next to name, the name of the actor playing the
role. (student names)
-
A two sentence description of character. First is of the
character's (student's) looks. Second is regarding his characteristics.
The script
-
Layout such that character names are at left, and the lines
are indented one inch.
-
Each character must speak.
-
All elements of plot, themes, setting and characteristics
must be evident somewhere in the lines of speech, and not necessarily in
their movement. To help achieve this you may add a narrator, or better
yet, you may have the characters thinking out loud using the trick called
an "aside" in brackets.
Example1for thoughts:
Johnny :
-
Hey, Jack. What are you doing with that gun? (aside) This
guy is crazy.
-
Does he really think that he can get away with it. (aloud)
You fool! You are going to get us killed!
Example 2 for setting:
Jack:
-
(aside) The sun is blinding me. The sky is so blue. (aloud)
I am going to do it man! It is so beauuuuuutiful! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
