The Evangelion robots are the only things capable of destroying the Angels. However, they carry their own dark secrects. Capable of deploying their own A.T. Field, these robots are super-powerful fighting machines. Sitting in the cockpit of these awesome gargantuans are onyl 14 year old children. However, the Evas are known to become unstable, and go out of control...

In order to pilot these machines a pilot must "syncronize" with the eva. Meaning the Eva is hooked up through the pilot's nervous system, and can be controlled mostly by thought and concentration. (the actual details of the system are never explained). However, there is a downside to this. All the sensations that the Eva experiences, the pilot experiences too. More specifically, the pain.
