Third Child
Shinji is the main character of the series. He pilots the mysterious robot Evangelion Unit 01. Having his mother die at an early age, and his father abandon him, Shinji feels very alone and unwanted. The series revolves are his feelings and emotions as he tries to face his father and find his place in the unexpected setting he's been thrown into.
