Misato is a character who seems upbeat and happy on the outside. But on the inside, she deals with many conflicts about her past and her situation in the present. It seems she holds some personal grudge against the Angels and will do anything to destroy them. She also becomes the guardian of Shinji and Asuka as the three of them share an apartment.
