qui-gon-jin
Qui-gon
is a warrior, not a diplomat. he is wise in his age, but he is still
the first to pull his lightsaber when a fight is provoked,
Which is purhapse why
qui-gon jinn, and obi-wan kenobi are sent as ambassadors for naboo by the
jedi council. qui-gon is quite forceful and is not one
to back down no matter what the odds. As qui gon and obi-wan enter
the nimodian droid control ship to begin negotiations, he already sences
an unusual amout of fear for a simple trade dispute. Obi-wan also
sences this, but qui gon calms and reassures his padawawn, telling him
to focus on the moment, not the future, focus
on the living force.
Qui gon knows that the
federation types are cowards, and that
with his influence .....the negotiations
will be short.
Suddenly
, a loud blast is heard close by and dioxis gass is pumped through the
air vents, qui gon and obi-wan jump up immediatly igniting their
lightsabers prepared for anything. as the gas grows thicker, the
jedi prepare for the inevitable attack................. by clinging to
the ceiling.
as
the doors open, they ignite their lightsabers to deflect the laser blasts
of the federations patrol droids thAt fire into the room. 
The
jedi rush out of the smoke filled room slicing the droids to pieces as
they moved constanly forward into the hall.
obi
wan takes care of any further droids, while qui gon boldly to turns to
the door of the main control room where the viceroy nute gunray is hiding
and plunges his lightsaber into the door and begins dragging his
blade through the door, carving a hole. 
The nimodians continue to close more blast doors. So qui-gon, pulls
out his blade and plunges it back into the center of the door, slowly twisting
his blade, gobs of melted steel fall away as his lightsaber disintegrates
the door . 
from behind, obi wan yells....master, destroyers,
!! qui gon removes his blade,
knowing that destroyer droids are too much for his padawan to take on alone. 
the
three destroyers become too much even for the both of them, so qui-gon
and obi-wan escape with force speed down the hall and into the ventilation
systems.
there the jedi find their way to a large hanger bay, where battalions of
droid armies are being loaded into troop transports. It is obvious
an invasion of naboo is to commence....the jedi split up and stow away
on seperate ships to reunite on the planets surface.
Once
on the surface, qui gon finds himself running with heards of beasts
and animals through the swamps of naboo, with a group of federation hover
transports following quickly behind, mowing down everything in their way.
suddenly,
a lone gungan stands frozen with fear in
front of qui gon............qui gon yells at the gungan to move,
......but
as he gets closer, the gungan simply grabs on to qui gon, he throws them
both to the floor quickly as the hover transport roars over them.
Qui-gon
is frustrated, as he gets up and continues to walk on......, hoping to
find obi-wan quickly
are you
stupid or something ? you could have got us killed
" meesa spek " says
the gungan
the ability to speak does not mean intelligence...now

but the gungan follows... saying....."Oh
mooy mooy, meesa love you, yousa saved me meesa your humble servent

oh but it tis.....tis demanded by the gods it is......"
then
, with the sounds of laser blasts, obi-wan comes running around the corner,
followed by two s.t.a.p.s. qui gon draws his lightsaber, and deflects
the blasts back at the s.t.a.p.s.
There he calms his young apprentice, and prepare to move on...as the gungan
gets up from the ground,
obi-wan
asks whats this...?
"
A local " qui
gon says as they move on......
Meesa jar jar binks the gungan says
as he follows the two jedi.....jar jar then tells the two jedi of his native
underwater city ootah gunga. with some coaxing and provoaking, they convince
jar jar to take them to his city. the two jedi place their
breathing apperatice on their mouths as they wade into the water to follow
jar jar.
Ootah
Gunga soon shows itself as a vast bubble city under the oceans of naboo,
the jedi fOllow jAR JAR through one of the larger bubbles...where they
are dried on the other side. As they walk in they are immediatly
put under arrest by the gungan captain tarpals.....
No jar jar......not this time....yousa going to the bosses yousa in big
doo doo .
the jedi are brought forth the gungan coucil headed by boss nass...
yousa cannot
be here 
Qui gon tells Boss Nass
of the droid invasion.....
but
the gungans care little for what happens to the naboo

gon is impress by his padawans skills at negotian...but he also see's that
this is going nowhere.....he interviens with a jedi mind trick.....
then speed us on our way

jedi turn to leave when jar jar says.....theysa

three leave together, in a bongo sub and wind there way through the planets
core, dodging large opee sea killers and bigger fish....
Soon
the sub surfaces in a canal in the city of theed..
the jedi find
there way through the city and happen upon the queen and her council being
escorted through the city by armed droids..... the two jedi leap
from their balcony into the midst of the crowd and quickly destroy the
droids and whisk off with the queen
qui-gon
speaks up... we are the ambassodors
your
negotiations seem to have failed SAYS SIO

never took place...
in light of the circumstances I suggest you
come to corruscent the
queen is reluctant to leave her people but agrees with the jedi....
the group walk confidently into the adjacent hanger bay where the royal
starship is following qui-gon jinn

gon walks up to the head droid sentry...

qui
gon whips out his lightsaber and takes care of the droids....as obi wan
frees the captured pilots....they all run into the ship and blast off.
The ship encounters heavy fire as they leave the planet, and the hyper
drive is damaged....qui gon relizes they will not make it to coruscent....obi
wan is already on the ships computor and comes up with tatooine..a
small sparsly populated planet, far from federation control.....
tHE
QUEENS HEAD GUARD PANAKA PUTS UP SOME RESISTENCE DUE TO the planets CONTROLL
BY THE HUTTS......qui gon ignores panaka pessimism, stating
that it would be no different on a planet
controlled by the federation...at least here theyre not looking for the
queen.
Upon
landing on tatooine, qui gon disguises himself as a farmer...and readies
himself deciding to take jar jar and artoo.. along with him.....knowing
it will be less suspicious with such an odd group by his side in this space
port. Qui gon checks on Obi-wan who is inspecting the hyperdrive.....
Before
he leaves he tells Qbi wan to be
leary..
I sence a disturbence in the force...
I sence it also master. obi wan says
As
he begins his journey, qui gon is stopped by panaka who is walking with
one of the queens handmaids...
The
queen comands you take her handmaiden with you

The queen wishes it...she's curious about

Qui gon reluctantly agrees....
As
the enter the space port, qui gon is explaining the planet to the
handmaiden......" mostly moisture

gon walks into one of the smaller parts dealer shops nad is greeted by
the owner...a blue toydarian

follows the toydarian to the back of the junk shop which is strewn with
old pod engines and bits and pieces of every machine you could imagine,
pit droids mill around moving parts from one side to the other....
Watto turns to qui gon ....
T14 type generator eh..me thinks it be easier and cheaper to buy a whole
new ship....speaking of which, how do you plan to pay for all of this..?

gon does not have the time or patience right now to barter , so he waves
his hand lightly past watto as he says .....credits

gon smiles turns and leaves.....not pleased at all with the turn of events....he
walks in through the shop, says jar jar...were
leaving...and continues to walk right
out the front door.
Qui
gon stands in a doorway and communicates to Obi wan via comlink.
He informs him of there situation, obiwan informs him that there is nothing
to use as trade on the ship...Qui gon signs off.
I'm sure
a solution will present itself
Walking
through the streets, qui gon contemplates their situation.....he turns
when he hears jar jar cry out,
he sees
jar jar lying on the ground and a small spider like creature punching jarjar
once more in the face as it walks away.......Qui gon walks up, and is introduced
to Annikin Skywalker who had just
saved jar jar from a far more sevear beating. Qui gon thanks the
young friend, and
begins to walk on....the boy follows. The boy leads them to a local
fruit stand and buys them some Tallies...Qui
gon accepts his and places them in his belt, the boy looks and see's his
lightsaber. The young boy, annikin offers them shelter from a sandstorm
that kicks up from nowhere. They accept and follow annikin.
As they enter the small slave quarters, qui gon introduces everybody to
annikins startled mother, 
schmi
skywalker. Qui gon appoligizes for the intrusion and offers enough
food for a meal as young annikin wisks off the queens handmaiden padme
into another room to view his protocol droid which he is building to help
his mother.
Later
at the dinner table, the skywalkers discuss the explosive slave implants
that they have with'n them. the queens handmaiden is shocked that
slavery still exists since it was wiped
out in the republic, but
Schmi cuts her off in mid sentence....the
republic has no power here

annikin quickly changes the subject...

Qui gon looks towards annikin as watto
contemplates
Watto looks up...slaps his hand down on qui gons and says Deal

gon leaves the shop satisfied.....later on he stands by watching annikin
fine tune his pod with the help of the droids as well as jar jar and padme.
Qui-gon takes out his comlink and communicates his plan to obi wan...who
is far less enthusiastic about the proposition of being marooned on tatooine
for a very long time.....qui gon let's on to obi wan that there
is something about this boy....
and signs off. Qui gon turns as Schmi
comes out of the slave quarters.....

her sentence...has special powers. He can
see things before they happen, that is why he appears to have such quick
reflexes....It's a jedi trait

gon is quiet as he looks over towards annikin...his first thought is of
the prophecy, but he stays silent for now and watches young annikin with
greater focus and intent
later
that night, qui gon sits with young annikin cleaning a cut on the boys
arm. Annikin disusses the stars with qui-gon...qui gon reaches into
his belt for a small syringe and quickly pricks annikins arm. Annikin
is starled but qui gon tells him he is only
checking his blood for infections and
sends him off to bed. Qui gon then places the sample into his comlink
and transmitts it to obi wan on the queens ship.
Obi wan is amazed as he reports back that the
midichlorian count is off the charts, over
20,000 thats higher than master yoda's.
Qui gon is not as surprised as obi wan, as this only confirms his earlier
suspicions. as qui gon signs off, 
schmi
is there standing by the door....she see's that the jedi are becoming aware
of her sons powers
The
next day...the pod race arena is filled with spectators and racers from
all over the galaxy. Qui gon is in the hanger bay with jar jar waiting
for annikin and the rest of them to show up. As watto flies up, confident
that they will lose..

gon meets up with annikin and hands him his winnings, annikin is extatic

boy hits the floor, and a dark rider leaps
off of his speeder and ignites a lightsaber. Qui gon though startled....
is ready, and battles the dark cloaked figure

gon barely holds his own as he see's the queens ship slowly fly over him,
qui gon takes his chance and leaps into the air and onto the still open
ramp. As he enters the ship, they blast out of the planets atmosphere

wan and annikin run to see if qui gon is alright

was it ? asks obi wan as qui gon tries to
catch his breath

gon tells them of the treachery of teh federation and then of the mysterious
attacker on tatooine, that it was obviously
an agent of sith

gon bows and leaves the council chambers, once again he is annoyed
by the beurocracy of the jedi council. yet he also agrees with them
that he must focus on his task at hand....protect the queen. Whom
has decided to return to naboo. Qui gon stands on the landing platform
waiting for the queen to arrive.
Obi wan speaks

the queens ship, Qui gon stands before the queen , as panaka speaks everyones
concerns.
Once we land
on the planet, you will be palced under arrest and forced to sign the treaty

The
queen calls forth jar Jar Binks.
And there
explains her plans for once they land.
On the
surface of naboo, qui gon stands waiting for Jar Jar to return with word
from Ootah Gunga.
Obi Wan approaches
I'm sorry for my behaviour my master, I meant no disrespect, and I'm grateful
that you think I'm ready for the trials.
It's
quite alright obi wan....I forsee you will one day become a great Jedi.
jar jar returns, but there is no sign of the Gungans, Jar jar believes
that they are in their sacred place and takes them to it...........In
the middle of the swamps, where portions of great statues lie half buried
in the swamps, the gungans stand. The queen adress's boss nass....but
in mid sentence is inturrupted by her handmaiden padme, who reveals that
she is in fact the queen, and
these are her loyal body-guards/decoys. Everyone is astonnished,
including the jedi. With this show of faith, Boss nass and the gungans
agree to help fight the trade federation's occuping armies.
As
the plan begins to take action, Qui gon , obi wan and annikin follow the
queen and her guard into the city of theed. When the signal is given,
two hover tanks are destroyed by one of the queens guards gian speeders
the jedi and the queen use this distraction to make their way to the hanger
bay. The jedi ignite their lightsaber's and deflect laser blasts
as they flank the queen. Upon entering the hanger, qui gon sends
annikin to hide in a cock-pit...
annikin.....Stay in that cock-pit
but I.........
Stay
there......
As
they all approach the main door to the palace, the door opens by itself
to reveal
the dark
warrior who battled Qui gon in the desert. Qui gon speaks up as the
others are frozen in fear and confusion.
We'll handle this....
Qui
gon and obi wan remove their cloaks as does the dark warrior
darth maul .
the
sith lord ignites his lightsaber....but this time he ignites the other
end, revealing a double bladed lightsaber, something neither jedi were
prepared for. Qui gon and his apprentice ignite their lightsabers
simultaniously and strike against darth maul. Qui gon and obi wan
fight in perfect unison, striking and blocking each of darth mauls blows.
Qui
gon takes a back hand to the face from darth maul, but is barely
fazed as he seemlessly rejoins the battle. 
Darth
maul leads the jedi into a huge reactor room, as he walks backwards to
the door, he hurtles a dismembered droid body at the door consul with the
force. Qui gon and obi wan follow, with qui gon taking the lead,
pushing the sith lord back towards the perillous walkways. Darth
maul stands on the edge of one of the walk ways balancing himself, as the
two jedi face him.....
.Obi
wan fakes a lunge towards maul, and Qui gon attacks.....maul has little
recourse but to flip high and backwards onto another catwalk......
qui
gon and obi wan follow and continue their attack constanly moving down
the walk ways, deeper into the reactor areas.
Qui
gon and obi wan are on either side of darth maul, when maul sneakily does
a backwards kick to obiwans face and knocks him three stories down, where
he barely holds on to a catwalk. Qui gon responds with an extremely
powerful back hand to mauls face which knocks darth maul off the
platform on to the one a story below. Qui gon quickly jumps down
after him, to catch him off guard.
As
qui gon lands beside darth maul, the sith lord kicks qui gon backwards
enough so he can leap back onto his feet and the battle comences furiously
between the two of them. Qui gon follows darth maul into a small
hallway. Obi wan has finally reached their catwalk and runs to catch
up with the battle. Qui gon counters every blow of darth mauls when
suddenly laser walls seperate the hallways into small cells, seperating
the combatents. The battle haults. 
Qui
gon is just as confused by the situation as the sith lord, Darth
maul tests the laser walls and see's that his lightsaber cannot cut it,
so they each extinguish their blades. Qui gon kneel's and begins
to meditate, trying to regain his focus as darth maul walks back and forth
like a trapped animal...trying to intimidate Qui gon.
Just
as quickly, the laser walls open and the battle comences with fury, Qui
gon furiously battles the younger and more powerful sith lord with the
mastery of an older wiser warrior. Darth maul tries all he can to
throw off the jedi's concentration.....when in a flurry of wild attacks
and blows, darth maul hit's Qui gon in the face with the handle of his
lightsaber, throwing Qui gon off balance for a moment........Which darth
maul utilizes and runs his lightsaber through Qui GOn Jinns chest.......Qui
gon let's out a small gasp as he collapses to the floor.
Obi wan destroys darth maul...avenging
his master..
he
runs to the side of his master who is clinging to life.
QUi
gon speaks for the last time to his padawan
It's too late...it's
too late....
No, no
master....
Obi
wan, promise me, promise me you will train annikin,
he is the
chosen one.........promise
