Darth Maul ("real" name Khameir Sarin) is from a species called the "Zabrak". there is also a zabrak member of the Jedi Council. His name Eeth Kooth.

legitimate killer to the bone.....
darth
maul wastes no time once he lands on tatoonie where he believes the jedi
are hiding queen amidala. Maul
dispatches three probe droids
to scour the desert townships for the queen and her jedi protectors. Once
their ship has been located...Maul mounts his high performace sith
speeder and races off to attack. Just as Qui-Gon-Jinn
returns to the royal ship with annikin skywalker...

Maul
speeds over the dunes, ready to ram the back of annikins
little skull.. Qui-Gon
Yells " Anakin !! Get Down.!!! ""and anakin hits the floor.......Darth
MAul does a flying dismount from his still racing speeder and while flipping
in the air, ignites his lightsaber and
attacks the jedi full force....the
battle is brief but vicious.... Darth Maul Whirls around,in a tornado
like attack he uses his cloak to confuse the jedi as he attacks
viciously with his Lightsaber from all directions ............. Qui-Gon
barely escapes with his life as he uses the force to jump onto the escaping
royal ship. Maul
extinguishes his lightsaber as the ship leaves the planets atmosphere......He
knows where theyre going and will be there when they arrive....the
next time.....Qui-Gon Jinn will
not be so lucky....
The Hanger Battle Darth maul shows the true power of his lightsaber in the hanger battle in the city of theed on naboo....where he is waiting for the jedi. As the jedi escort amidala through the hanger to the royal chamber.....the blast doors open slowly to reveal to reveal darth maul  standing there...WAITING....
.This time...maul takes on both jedi, The three calmly take off their their cloaks and prepare for battle  In
the style of a Classical warrior...maul
unveils his masterful lightsaber creation with a thirsty smirk
 with
incredible ease and confidence..... Darth
MAuls mastery of the lightsaber is equal to his ability to fight with
the force...hurling objects and useing
the force to Push his opponents away when they get too close.
His body is also a lethal weapon ...he weilds quick and hard kicks to the head with true force  Darth
maul is a silent killer....using his intimidating face and facial expressions
to psych-out his opponents.....while waiting for the laser walls to open,
which had seperated the warriors in mid battle...Darth maul walks back
and forth..staring down the jedi.... like a caged animal...His hunger for
the battle is staggering, and inevitabley over whelming for the jedi... .while
obiwan is still seperated by
the laser walls...qui-gon battles the sith lord alone....With a series
of blinding attacks with his whirling lightsaber.... Darth
maul hits quigon in the face with
the center of the long handle of his lightsaber...stunning the jedi...then
plunges one end of his double bladed lightsaber right through the jedi's
chest
 dropping
him to the floor like a wet tauntaun
 the
second jedi...Obi-wan kenobi....screams
as he witnesses his master's demise....and as the laser doors open, maul
is ready to take him on as well.
the young jedi releases all his anger upon darth maul,..... battling him ferociously, hammering down upon darth mauls lightsaber until he cuts it in half...  which
only hightens the speed mauls fighting ability as he effortlessly
wields a single blade... obi-wan
comes back in for a closer attack . darth maul pushes him with the
force back and over the edge of a melting pit.
The jedi grabs onto a light fixture saving himself from a fatal fall...

after
a long search for a
..the
jedi slices directly through Darth MAuls torso.....
severing
him right in half....
his
body falls writhing and screaming into the vast melting pitt.
