This is the story of Alice, Jack and Kick. It starts in 1100.

Three lives intertwined.

Jack and Nick, two brothers in love with the same child, woman, Alice.

Nick losing all. Alice never ever noticing him, always with Jack. Nick who finally finds out that his mother was not Jack's mother. Always torn.

Because of his love of Alice, he runs away and joins the Templars.

Jack and Alice always together and amassing money since he has a talent with stone.

One day, Nick comes back, disheveled, thinned, in rags. They take him in, Alice never paying any notice. Jack and Nick work together on the bridges that Jack builds.

Then, the Master of the London bridge comes to see Jack and offers him to help him rebuild the London bridge.

They accept. Nick, Jack and Alice lives for London. Always lurking is Nick's love for Alice. Alice never paying attention, consumed entirely by her love to Jack.

Jack disappears and in order for Alice not to be a slave again, she must marry Nick who has raped and believes that the child she bears is his.

While she gives birth, he tells her everything that happened to him since he left their house to join the Order of the Templars.

How he learned everything......

Alice dies, but she stays because her bones are in the bridge, she cannot move on.

She observes the lives of her descendants. And she tells you all that she sees.

 

It's a nice book to read, you learn a lot about the Templars and Deus, Jesus Christ and what the Templars did with his body.

It's very interesting, you could borrow it at the library, may be not worth buying it :)
