| Most MIDI instruments are equipped with a MIDI IN,MIDI OUT,and MIDI THRU socket.The THRU socket passes information on to another instrument without altering it,pretty important if,say,you have three MIDI synths,all of which you want to drive off one sequencer.Some instruments,though,have no THRU socket;in this case,a THRU Box will solve your problems.It simply takes a single MIDI IN and pumps it out of several THRU sockets,allowing you to set up an efficient 'star network'of instruments. |
