An arpeggio is a rapid upward or downward progression of notes.Arpeggiators allow you to simply hold down a sequence of keys, and have them triggered sequentially, often running up,down,up/down,or sometimes randomly.A popular alternative to a more complex sequence, found on keyboards as diverse as the Roland Juno 60,Sequential Prophet 2000,Korg DW8000 and so on.MIDI arpeggiators ,such as Akai's,can add the facility to MIDI instruments which don't have it build-in.
