TEDDY BEARS This one was named after a President. On a hunting trip President Theodore Roosevelt refused to shoot a bearcub. Toymakers Rose and Morris Michtom created a hand-stitchedstuffed, jointed bear and called is "Teddy". The photo of the original teddy is found at the Smithsonian Institute's Web site, along with other teddy bear activities.
