A Day At The Beach by: Mermaid 1997 I dream of sandy beaches, white Of sounds of the sea and stars at night To wake to the tide, drawing out And run toward the sea to look-about For treasures and shells left for me Gifts of beauty from the sea I watch the waves lapping at the beach And praise this dream, though out of reach The toughest times, it gets me through And is so easy to make come true A simple drive, a little time And this peaceful dream is really mine |

My Escape by: Mermaid 1997 All is calm Beside the sea. All is peaceful If only for me. The tide washes.... Away the tears. The wind blows.... Away the fears. The seas salty air.... Caresses my skin. I taste the bits of sand.. As I deeply breathe it in. The crashing waves... My peaceful song. I open up my mouth.... And begin to sing along I smile slightly...... And reach for the sea. As if she belonged... To me and only me. I gasp at the water As it chills my very soul. When hurting...to the sea.... Is where I go. |

Calling by: Mermaid 1997 Tidal waters Drawing me… Swim away Into the sea Peace and calm Down below Where the mermaids Love to go Golden city Full of love Not with hurting Like land above Longing to escape From this misery And disappear forever Underneath the sea!

The Sea by: Mermaid 1997 Splashing about in the breakers so high Occasionally catching a glimpse of the sky Smashing and foamin, the waves of the sea To most people, the ocean must seem angry But I know that under the waves is the calm The peace of the water is where I belong Where light as a feather, I float and I glide Dancing to the rhythm of each new days tide The fish and the seaweed move softly, with grace As the cool sea water moves over my face Oh, how my life could be so very sweet..... It only i could just, get rid of these feet!

The Lonely Siren by: Mermaid 1997 She sings her song In a loud, clear voice She knows the danger She has no choice Her lonliness is much to much She want's his strong embrace Although her eyes are clouded with tears She wants to see his face So she sings her deadly song And draws him to his fate She knows that it is wrong of her But now it's much to late As he calls out to her for help He's ravaged by the sea But she stays perched upon her rock And sings her melody. |
