Chapter #5

R E V E L A T I O N     I G N O R E D

The last book of the Bible, is usually omitted from sermons, Sunday School, and Bible studies. WHY? Because people are afraid, afraid of what, the truth, they would rather not know. It may make them feel uncomfortable, or it might not agree with their Church’s theology, if God takes the time to tell you something you better listen (you might be blessed). In chapter one, verse three, we read, "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things, which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

When God gives a blessing or a curse in His Word, don't you take notice? Our heavenly Father gave a blessing to Abraham, He said I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee. He also extended it to his son Issac, and then to Jacob. Have you ever heard about this blessing in Church? Most Christians are totally unaware of this very important blessing made in the Old Testament. You might ask why is it so important. When God said to Abraham that he would be the Father of many nations, He was talking about us. God through Abraham, Issac, and Jacob established a nation (Israel). This nation became His elect, His Chosen People! When we become Born Again we are adopted into this family of God. "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." GALATIANS 3:29

If you have studied Bible prophecy, today's news headlines are both scary and exciting. As we read Scripture portions that begin with, the latter years, the end times, the latter days, etc. And we look at world events; we can see the prophetic Word of God being fulfilled before our very eyes.

Well let’s get back to the book of Revelation. Jesus himself came down from heaven to talk to John. He gave John specific instructions in Chapter One verse Nineteen, "Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;" If Christ himself took the time to dictate these words to John, they must be unimportant, because the Church’s never talk about the book of Revelation! When we are considered to be authorities, we all are reluctant to talk about areas we are not so sure about. We have been taught that the Rapture is going to happen before the Tribulation begins. So to be correct in our theology I guess its best to skip over portions of Scripture like the words of Jesus, He is only God. He says, and dictates His words to men, because they mean nothing, they are totally unimportant. Not all of God's word is a waste of time to study; after all we can rely on our Pastor's to tell us what's important. Then we can disregard the rest!

The Bible is rather a large book, wouldn't it be easier to read if we threw out the parts that don't count? For example I’ve been told the Old Testament, was written to the Jews only. We as Christians aren’t Jews, so lets throw away the Old Testament. I have heard in Churches that the words of Jesus are more important, that’s why they were put in red. So why don’t we do like Thomas Jefferson did, make a new Bible containing only the words of Jesus. I'm sorry, that won't work, because Matthew Twenty-Four doesn't fit in with your theology. Well we could throw that out also, along with anything that we think repeats itself. Well now we are making progress, why don’t we throw out the parables too, after all they are only stories. Doesn’t this feel good; we are getting rid of all the theology problems.

Many Churches preach that once saved always saved. But when we read Revelation Three verse Five, it says, "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." I don’t ever remember these words of Jesus being mentioned in Church. Now the Lord plainly states, he that overcomes, will be clothed in white and his name WILL NOT BE BLOTTED OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE. This Scripture verse is a simple straightforward statement. Even an idiot like me can figure out what it says and implies. All the saved names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, if you overcome, your name will not be blotted out. Isn’t Jesus implying in this verse that your name can be blotted (erased) out of The Book of Life! Think about it kinda blows apart the theology you have been taught. Well we stay away from the book of Revelation because it is to complicated and is filled with symbolism. Have you ever heard this statement before? Or it is to complicated and cannot be understood. Please don't read II Timothy 3:16 or listen to Jesus when He said in Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Please forgive me for quoting from Matthew's Gospel again. HA! HA!

Oh by the way have you ever read the Gospel of John, like the first chapter?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

We call the Bible the Word of God, John through the Holy Spirit called Jesus the Word of God. If you read the first chapter real carefully you will be able to follow me. Now please turn to Revelation chapter one verse ten and twelve. "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as a trumpet, and I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;" If you read verse eleven you know the voice was Jesus. Now try this on for size, the voice of God (His Word) is Jesus Christ! John turned around to see Jesus standing behind him, "and I turned to see the voice", have you ever seen a voice? I know what you are thinking now; this guy is really crazy. Well just hold on for a minute. God himself walked in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, correct? But if we read John 1:18 it says, "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." The Bible says that God is not a liar. So how can Adam and Eve see God and yet John says that no man has seen God at any time?

Real Christians believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is not filled with errors, and contradictions. I also believe that if two passages appear to disagree, then we are looking at them out of context or we haven't looked at all the passages on this subject. Now lets turn to the book of Genesis 3:8,10 "And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself." Note how Adam describes the Lord God walking in the garden, voice, he heard the voice walking. Just like in Revelation John turned to see the voice. You can’t see a voice and you can't hear a voice walking. If you have followed carefully, you understand what I’m saying, The voice, is the Word, and the Word is Jesus Christ. Now think about the Lord's statement in John 14:9, "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"

Time to change gears again!

A very well known Bible scholar states that the Church is called up in Rev. 4:1 and is not mentioned after that point. I believe this is a key verse for those who believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, if you believe this GUESS AGAIN! ! ! I've probably made this point in another section, but it's an important one and bears repeating. Let's start with the proof text.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.
Rev 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Now I have a question for you, who wrote the book of Revelation? The Holy Spirit through John, right? And to quote, After this I looked, meaning John looked - not the Church looked. So only John was present on the ground when the door was opened in Heaven, so who was told to come up? If you don't know or think it was the Church, verse two makes it perfectly clear - I WAS - not the CHURCH WAS, get the picture? Now let's turn to -

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Now I have another stupid question - Could the Church be called the following

1/ remnant ?

2/ seed, ?

3/ those which keep the commandments of God, ?

4/ and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. ?

No it couldn't because this is Chapter Twelve and the Church is not mentioned after Rev. 4:1. Unless we make a major mistake and ignore the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theology and read and believe what our Bible tells us. Now lets take a step back and read what the Scripture says about the Rapture and when it will really take place.

1/ Paul's first letter addressing the Rapture.

1 Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2/ Paul's second letter addressing the Rapture.

2 Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
2 Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

The Rapture can't take place until the Anti-Christ is revealed and proclaims himself God in the Temple.

3/ Paul wrote and told us when the Rapture would take place.

1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

This verse talks about the Rapture just like in 1 Thes. 4:15-18 but has the all-important phrase AT THE LAST TRUMP, this is when the Rapture will take place, AT THE LAST TRUMP. Not when you want it, not when I want it, at the last sounding of a trumpet in the Bible.

4/ John in the book of Revelation tells us when the last trumpet is blown.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The Tribulation has three sets of judgements, seals, trumpets, and vials. The last trumpet to be sounded is by the seventh angel in Rev. 11:15, the next reference to a trumpet is -

Rev 18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

The Tribulation is divided into two parts of 3 1/2 years each. I believe we will go through the first half, at least, and then we will be Raptured and not before, because -

Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

How can the Anti-Christ make war against us if we are not here? And why the warnings about the mark of the beast in chapter 13 and 14 and what will happen if we are not here, WHY?

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

What about these verses

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

WHAT ABOUT THIS VERSE, IF WE ARE RAPTURED HOW CAN THIS BE???

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

See how the warnings of the Bible work, the people in the verse above heeded God's warnings out of the Book of Revelation and didn't worship the Beast or his image and didn't receive the mark. And were spared the Lake of Fire and reigned with Christ because they listened and obeyed. Do you want to follow God and his word or false theology and go to hell, the choice is yours you have been warned. Read your Bible, all of it and follow it - or else!

When the mark becomes mandatory (Most likely a computer chip injected into you), you will be faced with a choice - to receive it or die - remember the words of our Lord.

Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

If you choose to save your physical life you will burn in the lake of fire FOREVER but if you reject it and loose your life for Jesus’ sake you will reign with Him, In my mind there is no choice, have your head cut off and live in GLORY.

If you own a computer and have access to the internet there is a wealth of information on the New World Order and the Mark of the Beast 666, I have included a few links which I hope will make it into to print with the rest of this material (Need permission first). I pray that this information will inspire you to greater Bible study and evangelism - Enjoy and become informed, you won't hear this stuff in Church, for sure!
