Chapter #2

Pre - Tribulation

How many of you go to Churches that preach about prophecy? Most Churches steer clear of any heavy-duty prophetic teaching. Or they don’t talk about prophecy at all. Many denominational seminaries focus on certain aspects of the life of Jesus and limited parts of the New Testament only. I was at a Church one day, and they had coffee and pastry after services. The refreshments were served in the area were opening exercises were held for the Sunday school. I noticed a student's book, so being a former teacher myself I picked it up and started looking through it. I was amazed at what I was looking at; a large section was devoted to what, what the different colored robes that the Pastor wore symbolized. WOW! ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL! The knowledge, that Church is giving its young people, certainly fits in with what the Bible says about youth. In Proverbs Chapter Twenty Two verse six we read - Train up a child in the way he shall go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Do you think being instructed in colored robes obeys this Scripture? Or do you think being instructed in righteousness and the (entire) Word of God obeys this command from the Bible? I believe that the only reason that I am a Christian today is because of my Mother’s obedience to God, and the example of my Father and Grandmother.

Ninety-five percent of Bible teaching Churches, that has the guts to go way out on a limb. When pressed will mention the Pre-tribulation Rapture and that’s it as far as future prophecy is concerned. Why did the Holy Ghost move so many men of God to write about the end times, if we're not going to be here? Are our shepherds, so sure that the warnings of Jesus, about future events, don’t concern us? Or are they afraid that they might not agree with their denomination? Are our Pastors teaching and leading us, as they are lead of the Spirit? Or are they afraid that they may say something that people don't want to hear? I've been told that I use scare tactics when talking to people concerning Jesus and Hell. I didn't talk enough about God's love and forgiveness, like Pastor so and so. Gee, I guess that I've been guilty about that, I don't speak like the Church's do, and when I thought about it, I'm guilty of using the same lousy not for today scare tactics, as Jesus used in the Gospels. (I thought Jesus was suppose to be our role model.) Wow, how wrong I’ve been. I always thought that when Jesus said Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away, that HIS Word (BIBLE) was valid when it was said (AND WRITTEN) and it will ALWAYS BE VALID (FOREVER)! If I am wrong in this point correct me, I only have the ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY to back me up (THE BIBLE). Am I saying that all the Pastors are doing a bad job all the time? NO! I’ll get into this in another chapter later, (Handcuffed) I hope, or it will be another book.

Along the way I’ve read a few pieces of literature, and have met at least two people, who differ about today's Churches theology. I have been told of God's love for Noah, and how He spared Noah and his family from the judgment upon the people of earth. That’s true, God did spare him and he did not suffer for other people’s sins. God loved Noah and he protected him. I’ve also been told that the Ark is a type of Christ. That's also true and if we are in Christ, what can hurt us? We will weather the storm, if we are in Christ. These true statements about Noah and the Ark are big selling points for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Please read them in your Bible, and show me where the Rapture is mentioned in these passages.

In order to make a scriptural stand for the Rapture occurring before the tribulation, one has to overlook large portions of the Word in context. You have to overlook all of Matthew Chapter Twenty-Four (Completely). Scholars that support the Pre-Tribulation Rapture argue that what Jesus said in this Gospel applies only to the Jews. Does that mean that there is more than one Rapture? I’ve only heard one man, who told me there is going to be more than one Rapture. When the Apostle Paul was moved by the Holy Spirit to write to the Church at Thessalonica was he writing to Jews only, or to the Church? He was writing to the Body of Christ at that location concerning different things, which apply to us. (Gentiles)

Let us look at I Thessalonians Chapter 5 verses 15-17. And I will quote the passage. "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." This passage is about the Rapture taking place and exactly what happens. Please compare this to the passage in Matthew 24:30,31 please read this in context. It is obvious that the same event is being described: Note similar wording. trumpet, gather, etc.

To further back up what I am saying, please keep an open mind, Paul wrote a second letter to this Church. In this second letter he again addressed the Rapture. II Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 1 to 5 "Now we beseech you, brethern, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him (RAPTURE), That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" Please note what Paul is talking about, the Anti-Christ will enter the Temple and proclaim he is God before the Rapture. Just like Jesus said in Matthew's gospel. BEFORE THE RAPTURE. Note: Anti-Christ Matthew 24:15 (II Thessalonians Chapter Two) later on in verses 30 and 31, Rapture.

The Bible says in MARK 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Believe and be baptized). Now when Churches teach that infants should be baptized, what do we do? We turn to II Timothy 3:16 and we say, look at the word doctrine. Correct doctrine means in this case the right order, believe comes first, then baptism. Note: Believe comes first, just like in Matthew and Thessalonians the Anti-Christ comes before the Rapture. So do we use different rules of interpretation in every Bible verse, or do we use the same rules except for verses that talk about the Rapture. At this point you’re probably steaming mad and would like to barrage me with quotes to back up your stand. Please bare with me, I'm not done yet.

I recently attended a very large and well known Church in the Boston area (Lexington). The pastor started of his sermon with an apology. He stated that in 30 years of preaching he has never preached on this chapter of Matthew, Yup you guessed it Chapter 24. He stated that it is a spiritual minefield, then he proceeded to pussyfoot around the words of Jesus. "All scripture is - - - profitable (II Timothy 3:16)" I got so mad I wanted to take the microphone away from him. I could see hundreds and hundreds of people from where I sat and knew that there were hundreds more sitting in the balcony, above me. They were there to be instructed in God’s word. Having faith in their Pastor to feed them the words of Jesus. God forbid if we disturb or make people uncomfortable in the pews. We shouldn't quote Jesus too much, people might be insulted. We should only talk about by and by and pie in the sky. Don't dare talk about tribulation, persecution, suffering for the gospel sake. After all Jesus spoke about these things. Beware you may be doing wrong because Jesus warned us about these things and we all know that he was the SON OF GOD, so be careful, because what does He know, only EVERYTHING!!!!!!! If we follow the wrong course, like HIM, we might become like HIM as GOD ALMIGHTY WANTS US TO BE!

Am I upset and being sarcastic, you better believe it. I’m not perfect nor do I ever pretend to be I make mistakes and I haven’t lived a perfect life. But for God's sake let’s tell people the facts. If there is a controversy about how certain events will take place, lets tell them both sides of the story. When Jesus came to the earth the Jews were awaiting their Messiah. Their theology was looking for the King of Kings to get them out of their mess (tribulation). The people had scripture to back up their theology, but in order for it to be correct they had to overlook even more scripture. If you know enough about the Bible you will know what I'm talking about (Kinda like Trib, Mid-Trib.). The scriptures about the Suffering Servant and the King of Kings, they are both in the Bible, and one has occurred and the other is about to occur. Like I said before, I don't know everything, but these warnings are there for a purpose. And I don’t believe God wastes His words. Warnings like in the book of Revelation and other places are there for a purpose. They are not to be blown off by us or anybody - All scripture is- - - correction, (II Timothy 3:16). More on Revelation later. I believe, if like Christ’s coming the first time they're is more than one interpretation, we should be aware of both of them. So if we are wrong like they were, we will be prepared and know what will happen. God has told us these things for a purpose; do you think we shouldn't listen, like they didn't?

I’ve heard in Church that the Lord is coming soon. The times are bad, as the days of Noah were. As the days of Noah were? Where does that come from? Do you know? Have you ever heard this statement? I hate to say it, please forgive me God; these are the words of Jesus, from Matthew 24. This is about the only time you will hear a quote from Matt. 24 in any Church. That is a sad commentary on the state of the Body.

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. (Today, Christians are being killed, ridiculed and discriminated against just like our Jewish brothers have been for centuries.)
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Cult Leaders)
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (This been fulfilled)
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (THE ANTI-CHRIST)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (IF WE ARE RAPTURED HOW COULD WE BE ALMOST DECEIVED IN HEAVEN?)
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather
( R A P T U R E ) together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (No Church Groups)
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Now lets turn to the book of Revelation, and look at this Bible study outline our club had this past summer.

12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
(NOTE Clothed with the Sun, could symbolize being clothed with God, what do you think? Read on before deciding. The moon under her feet would symbolize the Devil, the twelve stars represents? Israel’s twelve tribes? The disciples?)
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
(NOTE Dragon - Devil + Heads and horns, The Common Market-EEC)
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
(NOTE One third of the stars refers to Angels - Satan took 1/3 of the Angels with him. The child to be born was Jesus.)
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
(NOTE 1260 Days - 3 1/2 years - Based on a 360 day year)

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
(NOTE Deceiveth the whole world - That's you and me?)
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
(NOTE , They - are the brethren who overcame and him - is the Devil)
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
(NOTE God has prepared a place for us and will feed us for 3 1/2 years.)
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(Note Woman, is she the Church - Messanic Jews - Who?)

NOTE - Scripture verses talking about the end times, use these references - 1260 days - 42 months - time, and times, and half a time. These references refer to 3 1/2 year periods, the Great Tribulation (Seven years) is clearly divided into to two equal parts of 3 1/2 years each. (If you study Daniel you will see this same division.)

TIME TO CHANGE GEARS AGAIN !

The next verse has been used by a great end-times scholar as a proof text, for the Pre-Trib Rapture. He quotes, come up hither, and states that the Church isn't mentioned in the rest of the book. Maybe I'm missing something, but please write to me and explain where the Church is being addressed in this passage, what I'm seeing is one person being talked to.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

Now when you read the next verse.

Rev 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Hear again I think I missed something, I didn't know that JOHN was the entire CHURCH!

Still think that we are going to be Raptured before the Tribulation ? Well I have a few more verses up my sleve. Let's go back to

1 Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (RAPTURE) shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Now when we read the book of Revelation we read about the seven trumpets, these are the last trumpets of the Bible (In The Tribulation), check this out in your concordance. Now if you have a cross reference Bible, it should have the following verse listed for I Thes. 4.

chain.gif (5053 bytes)

1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

chain.gif (5053 bytes)

Now after reading this verse and comparing it with the paragraph above, what conclusion do you come to? When does it mean at the L A S T  T R U M P E T , Oh I'm sorry for asking stupid questions, the Rapture occurs before the Tribulation, just like they told me at Church, and I believe them no matter what the Bible says. YEA RIGHT !

If we take out our concordances and look up all the forms of trumpets, we find the following verses in the book of Revelation.

(Revelation 1:10 KJV) "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,"

(Revelation 4:1 KJV) "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter."

(Revelation 8:2 KJV) "And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets."

(Revelation 8:6 KJV) "And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound."

(Revelation 8:13 KJV) "And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"

(Revelation 9:14 KJV) "Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates."

chain.gif (5053 bytes)

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
NOTE - I believe this is the last passage in the Bible that a trumpet is blown (Sounded). The next and last time a trumpet is spoken of is below and it's not being sounded.

chain.gif (5053 bytes)

(Revelation 18:22 KJV) "And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;"

Now do you still believe the following verse applies to you being Raptured ? ?

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

If you do I have this great idea for turning sewage into gold bars, send me all your money to perfect the process and I'll send you a sample !

Now read this verse carefully and think.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

#1 Christians who refuse the Mark of the Beast will die by beheading. (and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.)

#2 People who receive the mark will live, for the moment. (For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:) These people will end up in the Lake of Fire FOREVER.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he (or she) shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Now let's get real serious. Recently I heard a tape by the man who developed the Mark of the Beast. How it's going to be a Computer chip that can fit through the eye of a needle and will be in our skin, not on, like some Bibles. (According to the Greek it can only be in.)

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

They spent a Million and Half Dollars finding the best place to put it and found that the back of the right hand or just below the hairline on the forehead works best. Between 16 and 17,000 children in the U.S. have been given this already and 6,000 men in Sweden have been tested with this chip with no ill effects. There has been talk of giving key government people this mark. It will be the ultimate identification and cannot be copied or forged. With this mark the government will have every person identified and will end our problem of welfare fraud and illegal aliens, this will be a big selling point for it. This chip will be powered by a Lithium battery, and if broken it will cause to quote one Doctor a grievious sore.

Rev 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

You will need this mark in order to sell or buy anything and receiving it will damn you forever, don't take it no matter what. We all have credit cards and all the machines that read them are being changed to accept the new S M A R T C A R D which has this chip. Once we get use to them they will switch over to the injection, it will sound good to most people, you can't lose your card and no one can steal it. I believe it will be optional at first, but it will become mandatory and refusal will be death.
NOTE: They are injecting this chip into peoples pets now and are talking about doing it to all children. So they can locate them by satellite if they are missing for any length of time, it sounds good but don't do it! No matter what. Hey, you know those pictures on milk cartoons, do you know who funds that program? I've been told it's the CIA, can you imagine that?

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
