Welcome to
Enemy of the Church! The name alone might seem shocking
to some of you, but the nature of religion is shocking to
me. I'm a Secular Humanist, or to be a little more
specific, I'm an atheist. I believe that you should
question everything, for that is essential to true
knowledge. Freethought...hmmmm, what a wonderful concept
and it would be even better if more people would learn
the truth about it. Let me start this off by expelling
some myths about Atheist's and freethinkers. We are often
thought of as evil, satanic, immoral, and generally the scum of
society. None of this is true. These myths were brought about by religion, or to single out the one that is most
responsible...Christianity. You see, Christianity seeks
to expel the truth. It burdens our entire society in
fiction and ignorance. It labels |
anything that it doesn't
understand as satanic or evil. It doesn't seek the truth
and has no desire to learn anything about cultures that
don't see things as it does. It only seeks to control and
convince of it's doctrines as being supreme. To some up
Christianity in one word...fascism. Yes, fascism, it is
permeating our society under the guise of
"Amercanism," and "Family Values."
Yeah right, as if someone needed to have some sort of
spiritual convictions to love their spouse and children.
In the past EOC has been very harsh towards Christians.
The whole attitude of this site has been one of anger.
Was I right to be so angry and critical towards
Christians? In my opinion, I think that I have every
right to be angry. I am confronted by them when I buy
groceries, go to school, go to work, walking down the
street, and they even come to my home. When they discover
my outlook on life, I am mocked and called
"evil." I am told that I'm going to hell and
that I will burn for eternity....and for what? Because I
don't believe in their god? Because I choose to ask
questions about everything? What kind of doctrine is
that?! I think it's kind of strange that a person like
Jeffery Dahmer can go to "heaven" just by
asking for forgiveness after the fact, and someone like
me ,who lives by the rules and tries to treat other
people with respect, is supposedly doomed to burn
eternally. Yes, I believe that I have every right to be
angry when treated in such a manner. However, I'm
currently changing the format of my site and it's going
to be more civil. I guess you could say that I'm becoming
more tolerant and that I realized that no religious
person is going to take my site seriously as long as it
was done in such a manner. It'll still be anti-christian,
but with a little less anger. This site is primarily for
freethinkers so keep that in mind if you're Christian and
you happen to stumble upon this site. Now, if you
absolutely must email me....do not flame me. I won't
respond to such nonsense. To enter EOC just click on the
logo at the top of your browser, and to leave just click
on "Exit."
