Architectural Engineering, Ain Shams University,
Cairo, Egypt,
1978 and Doctorate in Architecture degree from The University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA
in 1990.
Teaching:
Taught at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt from 1990 to 1993, United
Arab Emirates University,
Al Ain, UAE from 1993 to 1999, and Kuwait
University from 1999 to
date. Teaching experience covers architectural design studios, architectural
graduation projects, architectural research, and architectural professional
practice courses.
Research:
Research interests
include social and cultural aspects of architecture, sustainable architecture,
architectural education and the impact of globalization on architecture.
Practice:
Practiced
architecture in Egypt and
is currently a consultant for Kuwait
University Vice President for
Planning for the New
University City Campus
Master Planning.
