DAWN
Figure Fun

This figure is made using a Rugrats Lil head and the arms.

First the head was taken from the Rugrat body and using Super Sculpey, hair was shaped. Using a hair drier, the hair was was blown dry (you know, hardened the clay haha). Paint was added and that finished the first part.

Next the body! Clay was used for the entire body. It was shaped and baked in the oven to harden. The chains was shaped, the armor was sculpted, and then the figure was further baked. Paint was then added and that finished the body.

The arms were taken straight off the figure and glued to the figure's body.

The rose stem is just a wire with paper leaves then painted. The rose is a small section of paper rolled up, glued and painted.

I thought I'd give a basic step by step like that just to give an explaination of how it was created. My husband had done this project just for fun. It started out to be a "Baby Dawn", but now after it's finished, it's come to look more like a "Super Deformed" figure like those that has become popular lately. Either way, it's just like I said, a fun project, and I hope you enjoy the images.
