The arms and leg are made from sheet metal ducting. I cut it on an angle and riveted it into place so the arms and legs would get narrower towards the wrists and ankles.
The torso has a wood "skelaton" made of 2 by 4's and wrapped with to peices of sheet metal, one in front and one in back. These peices cover from the chest to the lower waist where the legs start. On top of this I put the "shoulders", made of a peice of sheet metal ducting cut in the middle almost in half, then folded and riveted in place. It looks like an upside down V, but its a tube, and the arms were attatched to either end with "duct joints" that allow the arms to move. To keep the shoulder peice in place I used a strip of sheet metal and put it over the middle of the shoulder peice and riveted it to the top/middle of the back and top/middle of the front.
The head is held in place by a wooden dowel that comes up through the center of the shoulder peice. This probably all sounds like gibberish, but it was very simple to make. I am going to make some drawings and post them and it will be much easier to undersand
