I recently built my own Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 1 saber.

My name Jim Henaghan (JediFerret)

This is my attempt at an accurate Episode 1 Obi Wan Kenobi Lightsaber. I would first like to give a special thanks to Paul Baker who helped me get started with my design.

It's fairly simple to build, it took me about a week. The pipe the saber is made out of is 1.5" and 1" diameter Sink Drainpipe.

This is fairly thin material, making it cheap and easy to cut. This can be found at Ace Hardware in the plumbing department.

The emitter is a nylon washer which can be found in the same place. The coils are pool/spa hose painted, cut to fit, and epoxyed into the emitter and handle. The details on the emitter and handle were hand cut with a dremel tool.

The gold rings on the emitter are small washers painted and glued on. The "blade adjuster" and "actiivation button" are spare parts to model cars I found and painted. Substitutions can be found easily. The endpiece is made up of a couple washers, a painted bobber, and spare pieces of 1" dia. piping.

Not shown is the belt clip, which can be made out of almost anything. I cut the L off off an allen wrench, epoxyed it into the handle, and topped it off with a screw cover found at Menards.

Everything is held together by a dowel rod and some rubber stoppers in the interior of the saber. That's pretty much it, good luck with this one, and MTFBWY."
