Circus ! 1.) The Introduction - Nayakata is folded in half backwards with her chest on the floor and her legs in the splits position. She effortlessly holds her left leg backwards over her head and brings the right leg from splits position to be even with the leg overhead preparing for the next part. : Click here
Circus ! 2.) The second part of the introduction - From being folded in half backwards on her chest, she brings her feet to the floor in front of her head and pushes up into an absolutely perfect backbend. This is a fine show of strength and flexibility while still maintaining grace and posture. : Click here
Circus ! 3.) From the above mentioned backbend position Nayakata has moved into a very solid handstand with her back in a deep arch. She now brings her legs to perfect splits. She slowly starts to bring her hips forward, a beautiful sequence of transition from a yogi handstand to a backwalkover. : Click here
Circus ! 4.) Finishing the above transition into a gorgeous backwalkover. Nayakta glides from a handstand, keeping a deep arch and legs perfectly split, to her finish of this movement. Her right foot is brought delicately to the ground while both legs are in full-extended splits position. : Click here
Circus ! 5.) Balancing herself the backbend position with her hands and feet on tiny elevated platforms, Nakakata releases her feet, folds herself in half backwards, taps the back of her head with one foot, splits her legs, then pushes herself up into a handstand and lands solidly on her feet. : Click here
Circus ! 6.) She now shows a very graceful descent into a high backbend while holding a lit cigarette in her mouth. Then, using her arms and legs she pushes up into an even higher, more arched position. Her expertise in the backbends is truly well represented here in that the movement is executed with such ease. : Click here
Circus ! 7.) From the above backbend she has already grasped sunglasses with her feet as she lifts into a backwards loop. While in this handstand with her back arched, so that her body is in the backwards loop position with her feet in the front of her face, Nayakata starts to put on a pair of sunglasses by using her feet. : Click here
Circus ! 8.) In the same backwards loop position as "video number seven", she finishes putting on her sunglasses. The fantastic coordination that Nayakata is blessed with is very well displayed in this segment. She manipulates the sunglasses with her toes, placing them perfectly on her face. : Click here
Circus ! 9.) In the same backward loop position as "video number seven" and "video number eight", Nayakata puts on a hat using her feet. This segment is from a different angle than the above two clips in that the front of her thighs and her lovely face are the presenting view. : Click here
Circus ! 10.) In the same position as "videos seven through nine", she takes a puff on a cigarette using her feet. This is obviously for show purposes only because she does not inhale the smoke. This is to demonstrate that she has totally mastered her body and breath control. : Click here
Circus ! 11.) In the same position as above, Nayakata takes a sip from a drink using her left foot (that profile is her trademark position), puts the cigarette in her mouth using her right foot. Finishing, she begins to take her hat off by deftly grasping it with the inside of both feet. Truly amazing ! : Click here
Circus ! 12.) From a standing position, she now starts a descent into a dramatic yet graceful backbend. Notice that even her arm and head movements are done with such beauty and poise. Only Nayakata, the beautiful princess of the circus, could make a simple backbend so wonderful. : Click here
Circus ! 13.) This is an elegant finish of the backbend in the above video (number twelve). The physical control that is present in even these more simple movements is so enjoyable to watch. She takes even a basic gymnastics element like a backbend to high artistic standards. : Click here
Circus ! 14.) While in a kneeling backbend, Nayakata elegantly bends back and gently touches her head to the performance platform floor with a wonderful flowing ballet like arm movement preparing for a full 180 degree twist from her waist. Such a pretty motion that she does with her arms. : Click here
Circus ! 15.) The second part of the above position, she incredibly twists her body completely around a full 180 degrees at her waist while maintaining the curve of the original position. She amazingly keeps her backward bend all the way through this full rotation of her body. : Click here
Circus ! 16.) The third part of the above position, in a kneeling partial backbend, with her body twisted completely around, hips facing front and her whole upper torso facing backwards, Nayakata now gives her adoring fans a beautiful smile ! Then, she begins to un-twist. : Click here
Circus ! 17.) Ending this magnificent display of coordination, physical ability and incredible flexibility in many various directions, she now gracefully comes out of the above position. This is so wonderful to watch. She is still smiling as she delightfully un-winds her body. : Click here
Circus ! 18.) While supported only by a mouth grip at the top of a short post, Nayakata folds herself completely in half backwards and places a shiny hoop on her ankle in preparation for a another incredible display of her skills. The start position of this is also known as the " Marinelli Bend ". : Click here
Circus ! 19.) In continuation of the above video (number eighteen), she begins to actually twirl the hoop around her ankle. Considering that she is folded in half backwards, supported mostly by her jaw muscles and up some five to six feet on a performance platform, Nayakata has shown that she is the best. : Click here
Circus ! 20.) A slow motion capture of Nayakata spinning a hoop around her ankle while her body is folded in half backwards and almost her entire weight is being supported by her mouth. This is such a pretty sequence that I have formatted it three speeds so that it can be completely enjoyed. : Click here
Circus ! 21.) A slightly faster version of the above video (number twenty). The incredible speed at which the hoop is being spun around her ankle begins to become evident. Not even the lightning fast eye of the camera can capture the image of the shiny hoop without some blurring of it's image. : Click here
Circus ! 22.) The same hoop spin as the above two videos (video numbers twenty and twenty one), but at a much faster speed. This is how fast she really spins it. Even my computer with a 300 megahertz CPU, 288 megabytes of RAM and an 8 megabyte video card has some trouble playing this. : Click here
Circus ! 23.) With her ENTIRE body weight being supported ONLY by her mouth AND being folded in half backwards, Nayakata now spins THREE hoops. One is around her ankle and one is around each wrist. This is a positively fitting grand finale for the hoop spinning series. : Click here
Circus ! 24.) Her body still in a full backwards fold, holding her entire bodyweight only by her mouth on a small rotating support grip (the " Marinelli Bend "), she rapidly spins herself around and around. The necessary spatial awareness and balance needed for this is literally superhuman ! : Click here
Circus ! 25.) Nayakata finishes her performance by dramatically dropping off her five to six foot performance platform from a handstand. In itself this is quite a spectacular stunt. However, considering that this is done at the end of such a demanding performance it is positively of heroic proportion ! : Click here
Circus ! 26.) A short video of me doing a simple pirouette. It's a simple skill. You must be able to hold all your weight with your arms while spinning your legs around in splits. I used this move in a fitness contest. The judges really liked it, until I disappeared into thin air... I think that upset them. : Click here
