Rating: PG13 By Articuno Queen Disclaimer: I do not own Team Rocket, Pokemon, or anything else other then the idea for this particular story. Misty and Pikachu, of course, freaked out from the time travel. That only to be expected. It even made Meowth's head swim. They appeared to be heading through a tunnel made of nothing but connected stars and galaxies, which shot past at a rate defying anything a human or Pokemon, could survive. They were in the Lab of the Future Saviors, and two people rushed over to help Misty and Pikachu up. Sabrina was both taller and more prominent then Meowth had before seen her. She once was a Gym Leader, with a Kadabra, but because of this crisis, she left to help the future. Butch was no longer working for Team Rocket, though he still did things that were not so nice. And, he was yet to gain that normal level in intelligence required by most humans. "So, what went on?" Sabrina demanded, helping Misty stand up. "Where's the other Misty?" Meowth asked. "She's someplace, or sometime, else. She doesn't want to get tangled up with this Misty in this time." Sabrina said. "Now answer my question." "Well, I've found out that Jessie's some sort of hardened good guy, or something. James has something wrong with his head, as well as his Persian. It's made out of metal, or something." "Cysian?" Misty asked. "Yeah, that sounds okay." Meowth replied. "And I'd say Ash no longer respects Pikachu?" "Pika!" (Never did!) Pikachu exclaimed. "Please stop interrupting me." Meowth replied. "And Ash and Brock are? less then straight, I suppose you could say." Meowth shook his head, trying to dislodge that particular memory. It refused to go away. "Pikachu helped me get Misty out of the cell, or whatever they called it, and then we were trapped by my alternate ego? which is icky, to say the least." "I see." Sabrina replied. "Well. We have identified where exactly the problem is coming from." "Where?" Meowth asked eagerly. Butch pointed to a large screen, where a red-green-blue-yellow glowing map was seen. He pointed to a purple spot. "Here. Spatial disturbances. There's a machine in there, messing up this reality. It keeps on going back in time, stopping several important events from happening, and making several that were not supposed to happen occur." "So, we need to destroy the machine?" Misty asked. "Right." Butch replied. "But you need a distraction." He paused. "This place is huge. Populated by the Nurse Joy clones. They may look sweet, but a small number of them are extremely dangerous. Not only that, but we've found the head of this operation? Professor Oak and Officer Jenny." Misty's face quirked. "Nurse Joy dangerous?" She said. "Last I saw her, she was being sweet to every mutate that crawled in the door." Butch shrugged. "Well, apparently she leads a double life." "What do you suggest we use to get in?" Meowth asked. "Well, we've decided that if this plan succeeds, none of the deaths of this time would ever happen, none of the mutations, none of the?" Sabrina began. "What do we need?" Meowth persisted. "An army." Sabrina said weakly. "You need an army." "An army? That's simple enough." Misty said, and when everyone turned to stare at her, she twirled the stun-gauntlet on her hand nervously. "Well, the biker gangs of the city will do anything for a little extra Zap." Rather then asking what Zap was, Sabrina nodded. "The Biker Gangs it is." She turned to Meowth, Misty, and Pikachu. "You three up to the challenge of rallying the biker gangs?" "Yeah!" Meowth exclaimed, slightly excited. He turned to Misty. "For one stuck in the cell, you sure know a lot." He said suspiciously. "Hey, I wasn't in prison my entire life." Misty replied, twirling the gauntlet again. Sabrina stabbed some coordinates, and the trio disappeared. Butch walked up to her, putting one arm on her shoulders. "Do you think they'll succeed?" He asked. "No." Sabrina replied, dropping her head. "I don't. I don't think anyone can save the future." Meowth, Pikachu, and Misty landed in a heap in the middle of one of the jagged roads of Viridian City. The sky was a dark gray, obviously evening or morning. "Let's get going. Where can we find those bike gangs?" Meowth asked. "Actually, we just wait for them to find us." Pikachu said. "What did he say?" Misty asked. Meowth translated, and Misty spun the stun gauntlet some more. "That's why I have this." She said. "What is that, anyway?" Meowth demanded. "A stun gauntlet. Delivers a mild or major blast of electrical energy into anyone that's hit by it." She paused. "Amazing technology, of what's left at least." She took out a small, blue wristband, and handed it to Pikachu and Meowth. "Hold onto this. It's sort of a luck thing, I suppose." She held up her own wrist to show them the bracelet. "I know I carry one, and in some way, it worked." "Yeah, you get to be dragged out of prison to come on a suicidal trip to save a world that's never going to be saved by three people." Pikachu said brightly, and Meowth elected not to translate that one. Suddenly, there was the mechanical sound of bikes being charged. Three hovering scooter-type things slammed into brake around Misty, Meowth, and Pikachu. "Those are the bikers." Pikachu supplied. "The leaders." "Butch, Cassidy, and Raticate." Meowth said, and sighed. "Why am I not surprised." The three had the look of people who have neglected food, instead looking for more vital things, such as water. Cassidy had the same sharp look in her eyes, one reserved for psychos and fanatics, the same her Raticate always wore. Butch had the hollow look of someone who had abused a substance too long. Needless to say, Meowth preferred their original snootiness to this. "Well, look what we have in our area?" Cassidy cackled. "Raticate!" The Raticate squeaked. "A bunch of easy pickings, I'd say!" Cassidy screeched, and pulled the bike in lower. "Actually, we've come looking for you." Meowth said. "We want to know if you'd be interested in a fight. Not against another gang, but against something much more fun?" "Ha! Nobody like you would know what fun was!" Cassidy screeched. "Right, Butch?" "Uh?" Butch said dully. Cassidy pulled in next to Misty, who was twisted her gauntlet again. "Now, let' see? what can we get for her?" Misty suddenly swung at Cassidy, who easily blocked the blow. But it was the fact that the gauntlet hit Cassidy that mattered. Cassidy fell off of her bike, convulsing. Butch continued to stare emptily at the air in front of him, and Raticate was moving closer, snapping teeth on air with a terrible, hollow sound. Misty grabbed the front of Cassidy's puke-yellow shirt and lifted her up. Needless to say, Meowth was impressed. "Now. You will help us. Your gang and the others will help us to defeat Professor Oak." "Professor Oak?" Cassidy screeched in a voice that was beginning to really annoy Meowth, "Why didn't you say so?" She cackled. "We'll get all the members of the gang!" She leaped out of Misty's grip and onto the back of her bike. "Come on, Butch, Raticate!" She skimmed off, Butch and Raticate following. "That was impressive." Meowth said hollowly. " Now, what else?" Suddenly, there was the sound of marching on the street. Meowth and Pikachu turned, hearing it first. From all directions, Team Rocket members were marching towards them, like a soulless army. The trio darted down another alleyway, but found themselves trapped. Pikachu gave off a blast of electricity, but it didn't do much. "The vent." Misty said. "You can escape up the vent." "But what about you?" Meowth said frantically. "There's no way you can get up there!" Misty grinned. "I have a little else planned?" She cranked up the gauntlet, and it began to hum. About then Meowth realized he had misjudged Misty. He had thought that the stay in the cell hadn't effected her. But, he was wrong. She was crazy. Or else so consumed with revenge she no longer cared. "Go!" Pikachu exclaimed, and darted up the fence. Misty leaped into the legion of Team Rocket members, punching this way and that, each hit by the gauntlet exploding the brain and blood vessels of a Team Rocket member. Pikachu and Meowth had reached the top of the building, when Meowth heard a scream of pain, which was abruptly cut short as Misty turned her gauntlet on herself. "Come on!" Pikachu exclaimed, sensing his hesitation. "We can't give up now!" They darted across the top of the building, Meowth fingering the 'lucky' bracelet. It hadn't been so lucky for Misty after all. By the next day, they found the biker gangs. "Here's the plan." Meowth exclaimed, looking out into the drug-eaten ranks of the biker gang. "Raticate, Pikachu and I will sneak in. We'll find Professor Oak. We need you to keep him distracted." "We can keep anyone distracted." Cassidy squealed. "I'm sure you can." Meowth said. "Now, let's go!" The bikers fired up their motorcycles, and took off. There was much hooting and hollering, and the firing of guns. They took off, Meowth and Pikachu behind Raticate on his bike. It really didn't take that long to get there. The bikes moved amazingly fast. Professor Oak's center, which was mostly rubble, had one specific quality: The eye. It was on a huge pillar above the ground almost a hundred feet, a huge red eye scanning this way and that. Meowth had the most terrible feeling about it as he watched it look, this way and that. "Alright, this way." Meowth said, as Pikachu and Raticate jumped off of the scooter. The Biker Gang was making rushes at the building, darting this way and that. There was no sign of life within. Meowth lead the way around the destroyed center, looking for a door. It wasn't long before they found a pipe leading in. Meowth crawled in, followed by Pikachu, and then Raticate. There was a sudden whirring, and they all turned. From their vantage, none of the three Pokemon could be exactly sure what was happening. The huge red eye powered up, glowing. The Biker Gang immediately went silent. Then, a huge Houou, five times the size of any normal bird, shot from within, and descended on the Biker Gang. It unleashed a huge fireball, which spread out from the epicenter like a huge tidal wave. The Biker Gang was crisped by the attack. It sent burned and blackened bodies flying in every direction. Bikes smashed into each other and exploded fragmenting metal as well as bodies. "Run!" Meowth screamed, as the fireball continued advancing on them. The fireball went right into the hole. As fast as Meowth, Pikachu, and Raticate could run, they couldn't escape the fire speeding down the passage, or the undeniable fact that their entire army had been destroyed by one, single, unforgiving fire from the sky.
