About me!!
Well, I guess if you're here, you'd like to know a little more about the person whose site you have stumbled upon :) As you've already noticed from the title of the site, my name is Dawn, and I live in the Philadelphia area. I am 30 as of January 29th (2001). I'm living with my parents at the moment, which is a big adjustment after 5 years of marriage and living away from them. It's not all that bad though, and I am lucky to have 2 parents who were willing to have me bugging them again ;) Another reason why I'm grateful to them is for their patience with me. See, I'm unable to work, legally disabled due to panic attacks/anxiety/etc. I don't know much about them, otherwise I would be better by now, so asking me about how to overcome them is not a good idea ;) I can explain what panic attacks are like, but not how to get rid of them. But I am still usually pretty positive and cheerful about things. Why bother getting upset when you can easily expend that energy on healing? I'm in a weird phase of my life, freshly divorced and all, but it's truly not bad. I've got terrific friends and family in my corner! Special love to Marianne & Jim, Trish & Tom, Rob, Mandi, Nanette, Sherri, Sandie, Shar, and all my other online buddies :)
You can see from the links on the left frame, what my main interests are...but there are certainly others! For example, I am a cartoon addict! I love watching The Cartoon Network, and considered making a Power Puff Girls page but decided it was just TOO much additional work. I seem to have enough on this site for now....teehee! So for now, I'll just share with you my favorite graphics of them...
My all-time favorite cartoon character, as you can tell from my email address, is Tweety. I've always loved him, and then I eventually realized the reason...besides the fact that he is a bird, hehe, and I obviously ADORE birds, there is another theory I've come up with. It's that I am a lot like Tweety in personality! He is sweet, cute, and innocent...just don't mess with him! And that, I'm afraid, is me in a nutshell :) So here are a couple of pics of my favorite animated bird.
Okay, it turned out to be more than a couple...heehee! Well I can't help myself, he is too adorable :) I use these to make return address labels, which is another fun hobby I have. I usually use the Sanrio ones too, see my Sanrio pages for those images. I also try to make seasonal ones when appropriate, like the Christmas Tweety above.
Another interest of mine is penpalling. You might have noticed the link on the main page (right frame) for a list I have on yahoogroups called "FriendlySwaps". Well, I am also a member of about 20 other lists, mostly about penpalling! I've been penpalling for about 6 years, and Mandi (my dear online friend as well) was one of my very first pals this time around. I had several pals as a teen, but just didn't stick with it. I'm sure glad I'm involved this time around though :) And now more of my penpals have computers, like Jane and Lisa, so we get to email and snailmail too. I have about 30 penpals right now, and am so swamped that I am currently not taking anymore penpals. But I do love the hobby very much! It led to my hobby of slams, which would take too much time to explain here. But they are booklets of questions that are circulated among penpals or swappers, and they are fun to sign. They're even more fun to make, and I try to make them as pretty and creatively decorated as possible. That's why I prefer to only swap that type!
Another thing I love is watching wrestling, well to go into more detail on that...I LOVE watching ECW and have been a huge fan of theirs for years. I started attending the ECW Arena shows in 1996 (House Party 96 on 1/5/96 was my first arena show) and am very proud to have been at some of the most important arena events :) Unfortunately, I don't go anymore due to having moved away from the arena. I do also watch WCW and WWF, and of those I no longer even have a preference. People wonder why, but I can't really pinpoint it. I guess that's why they HAVE so many options...so people with different tastes can find something they like :)
Let's see...that's about all I can think of right now to tell you about myself. At any given moment, you can be assured that I am almost definitely doing one of the following: reading email, watching wrestling, taking care of the birds, eating, Sanrio shopping, or sleeping.
