Movie Review:
This is the movie that started a legacy that has lasted for almost
40 years. It was the first movie in which Ian Flemmings character
of James Bond, Agent 007, was first brought to the big screen. The
movie is actually the most down to earth bond there is. Gadgets are
practically non existent. It has a good plot mixed well with action.
Being as I have also just recently read the book, I can say it was brought
over from its literary counter part quite well. It sticks fairly
close to the book, except certain parts need to be cut out for time and
more action scenes are added. I highly recommend this film to any
bond fan.
Extras Review:
Like all of the bond DVDs, this one is chalked full of every extra
imaginable. A newly created Documentary of the making of DR No, the
original featurette, original tv ads, radio ads, trailers, and more.
And of coarse it contains the Collectible "Making-Of" Booklet like all
of the Bonds.
Video and Sound Quality:
The video is somewhat grainy but looks fairly good considering its
almost 40 years old. Audio is nothing to get excited about but once
again is good for its age. |
